As a London Brit 🇬🇧 this is spot on. Your attention to detail really made me feel like this was a British home. I would definitely love to see you do more family builds. Now let’s see which one of my sims can afford a mortgage 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

For anyone confused as I was, I think “boiler” is referring to a radiator. Btw I love how you created the fake wall where the fireplace is using paintings and the sliding doors out the back

And radiators are usually 1 in each room, mostly under windows to stop damp from coming in.

And a boiler is what usually controls your heating! It’s quite bulky you normally find it in the garage or kitchen or in an airing cupboard and it either heats the radiators or the water.

Yay, I can answer this!! Sort of. The boiler is pretty much a furnace that's controlled by a switch or a thermostat. Its mostly used for controlling water temperatures in bathrooms and kitchens, but they can also be used to power some old heaters. They're usually kept in cabinets or in tight spaces.

As somebody who lives in England this is so accurate and nearly every British house has a small box room lol 😂 the only thing different is we don’t really have letterboxes or mailboxes in or on our houses most of the post is left outside the door and if it’s a small package/letter it’s usually put through the letter box which is in the door overall amazing

Well Leo, you’ve done it again! This is so accurate of a semi detached house in the UK. We also have double fronted semi detached homes too, which is usually the front door in the middle of two bay windows and can be pretty sizeable (still nowhere near as big as some houses in the States). The broiler is usually what heats up the radiators (known as central heating) and is fitted where there is an incoming water supply but can be fitted in any room in the house. Typically it’s in the kitchen where it can be covered up by a upper cabinet, but can also be in a upstairs bathroom. The one thing that British homes normally have is a ceiling rose and, in the case of my house, have panelled ceilings too. Unfortunately with the limitations of S4 you could only do it if it was CC. All-in-all a very impressive build. Sending much love 💕

I LOVE the Crown, Downton Abbey and Anne with an E!!!!! I was watching this video and decided to watch Heartstopper, and I fell in love with the series.. Now I can't stop watching the whole season over and over again and it's your fault! 😆😆😆 Thanks for raving about heartstopper and building Char's house 😍

A "boiler" or radiator works by circulating hot steam to heat a home. There is usually one in each room. They are usually placed under a window or against the wall.

This is so accurate to a British House, except it would be super expensive. This build is definitely a more dream Home for us Brits haha! Also, a boiler is what heats the radiators, and can be in any room of the house (we only need one!) Mine is currently in a bedroom, my parents is in the kitchen, I know some are in their hallways, so they can literally be anywhere! A job well done though, it looks so good and I'm envious of the Sims that get to live there 🤣🤣 Also, our gardens are all different sizes it just depends where you live!

Ah this literally looks exactly the semi-detached street I walk past in my town! Love it 😍 my recommendations of more contemporary British shows are I may Destroy You, We Are Lady Parts, It’s a Sin (which is set in the 90/80s), Years and Years, Broadchurch (with Olivia Coleman), Fleabag, and of course Skins- my favourite show when I was in secondary school- still have the box set!

Heartstopper HYPE!!! Oh my gosh you even recreated scenes from Ep 3-4!! *chef's kiss. Great work as always! Speaking of BL, have you heard of Sasaki and Miyano? Great chill and fluffy BL. Could inspire some school-related builds for the upcoming schoolyear ;D

Love Heartstopper (both the books and the Netflix show) and your build. Was so happy to see your Charlie inspired sim in the intro :D also I'm right there with you in that teenagers are so lucky to have Netflix and all their great queer / LGBTQ+ shows and movies

Lovely! You really are such a good builder! This house makes me miss living in the UK a bit. I used to be a nanny/au-pair years ago. I’m totally gonna steal your idea of making wardrobes out of kitchen cupboards. ^^, I’ve done it before with the big ones, but for some reason never thought of stacking the smaller ones. I enjoyed your talk about Heartstopper and BLs. You’re right, non-Asian LGBTQIA series don’t count as BLs. Heartstopper and Young Royals definitely are more of coming of age series. Can’t wait for ss2 of YR, and like you I also hope we’ll see more of Nick and Charlie. It’s nice to see a series that’s relatable and not as unrealistic as BLs. Atm I’m feeling kind of done with BLs except for Bad Buddy. Too much cringe/fetishizing.

I think all Asian BLs trace their line back to early 2000s Japanese Shounen-ai. Personally I do I think the coming of age storylines are the best tho I also don't mind ones that deal with more serious topics. That's why I love my local Pinoy BLs like Gameboys and GSP.

ginger rogers and fred astaire were paired together in a tin of romantic comedies and the move American Sweethearts was based on the same concept. I'm not sure how well that concept would work in today's American audience but I've definitely seen it happen both on the big and small screen in the past.

If I could change sims 2 Veronaville I would bring back Sycorax Gale(Juliette’s other grandma), who would hate the Capps and like the Monty family. She has stolen many items from the Capps, and even has a secret room. She would hate Tybalt, but would have had a memory of beating up Contessa right before she died, and has stolen her portrait that Caliban painted before he died, and has plots against Goneril. Sycorax was friends with Patrizio since teen years, and was enemies with Consort and Contessa. Sycorax won a fight against Consort's parents and they died after, as there graves would be behind her yard. If you get the city expansion pack she would be a witch, pets she would have cats, and open for business her on park. Her Husband Prospero is dead in the back yard, after the golden anniversary party, and she has interest in crime and weather. She would have secret money stashed, and will invite Juliette and Romeo over. When Tybalt comes she will scold him. She published a book on Consorts secrets and collects royalties. She has 70,000 saved up. Goneril will try to kick Prosperos grave, but Sycorax will beat her up, and glitch her into the secret room. Who would you resurrect from Veronaville.

Amazing build but the hallway is 1 tile wider than it should be, the average space between the stairs and the living room wall is about 3 feet in a real English house but I understand that the sims 4 has strange routing issues, Amazing interpretation of a semi detached property though

i think when describing western gay tv shows i see a lot of mlm instead of bl and wlw instead of gl. dunno if it's a rule or not but that's what I've noticed

one radiator per room is enough and it's usually put under the window. also, bl is definitely still an Asian thing. West is doing better lately, though not all. my country has no LGBT tv series at all!
