Holy moly that's a LOT of motorbikes. Down here there's only 3 for our local area, not just bikes, but traffic police !

Just because their on bikes doesn't just mean they are traffic police, it's a city, motorbikes are better then cars to respond. In Santisgo Chile this was common if every public order problems packs of bike police would stay together on edges of disorder, spotting for any new break outs of violence or robbery in the guise of public order events.

@@Dosedmonkey That sounds good for your locale. The information was given directly to me by 1 of the traffic cops. Bikes or cars, they only have 3 officers.

Not every cop is assigned to response; answering 999 calls. Some like Special Escort Group a large chunk of which are on motorbikes have duties which mean they will never get involved responding to 999 calls, traffic stops or any of that stuff.

The sirens are mostly tolerable but those like at 6:05 are unnecessarily high-pitched, piercing and stress-inducing. It's harder to pinpoint the direction they're coming from and just causes so much noise pollution. In Europe they're scientifically proven to be more effective without being annoying. These sirens causes health issues from getting interrupted sleep.

I particularly enjoyed the pedestrian chaos at @1:54 and the fuly-loaded tender chinane at the end. An easy compliation to make when the MET training regime clearly tests officers advanced driving skills and South London road users' patience on a regular basis.

I moved out of London 32 years ago to a rural area, I still miss the sound of hearing emergency horns several times a day 😢

@GhostXXE I am a Londoner and a retired London Fire officer I also lived near my local fire station, which was a busy one. After my injury and early retirement I sold my house and moved to the West Sussex coast. The quiet is pleasing and restful except at harvest time. At times I miss the hustle bustle and the sound of the sirens it brings back good memories to an old man.

@GhostXXE Thank you, please don’t thank me for my service it was a way of life that I enjoyed, I didn’t work a day I just enjoyed it, I miss the adrenaline rush on dodgy shouts. Firefighters are not heroes, they are dangerous people, if you had seen my crew and I running fully booted and spurred faster than Athetes

You're telling me you'd like to hear that high-pitched wailing sound at 6:05 passing by your home? It's a horrible sound, Europe's sirens are better without being obnoxious and triggering

@@NeedMoarRage as I have said before I am a Londoner and was a London Fire Officer, the purpose of the sirens is to warn other motorist and road users that an emergency vehicle is coming, but of far more importance is that the sirens tell the people in trouble, perhaps deadly trouble, that help is on the way. Being annoyed by sirens at 0630 is selfish, if it is the Fire Brigade or Ambulance it means that people could be in serious danger that has only just been noticed, don’t you think that telling your coming is of some relief to them?

@@Skystalker23 No, that only happens with the old xenon strobe bars. That vehicle just had a very sparsely populated Vision Alert/ECCO LED bar, you can see it only has the 4 corner modules and the pair near the middle, the rest of the bar is empty. LFB have a history of minimalist lighting on many vehicles, only their latest pumps have typical provision

Never go through a red light to let police through, you can still get a ticket!

Incorrect. You may only pass a red light when instructed by a police officer. That means you can clear reds for police if they are directly behind you, but you may not for ambulance or fire.

@@Dosedmonkey I know someone who went through a red light to let police through,they was issued a fine and presumed it would get overturned when they explained the situation, their appeal was rejected , I can only presume it’s like you said instructed by a policeman, they wasn’tthey just saw police vehicle trying to get through and they went through light to let them by

@@iainv4092 I'm tempted to add another complaint about the horse riders. However I'll hold off until Tony Lloyd reviews my previous complaint and states which law enables them to break the law. There are clear exemptions for police drivers with the right qualifications. However there are none for police riders or for that matter police cyclists.
