1 SIMPLE TRICK that Wins Fights Fast | BEST DISTRACTION TECHNIQUE EVER!
This is only for Self Defence. Please don’t use this idea against an innocent victim. This is only for you to defend yourself.
When someone squares off against you in an argument or a fight they are vulnerable to a short KICK to the Shin. Partly because the distance is close quarter, but also because the kick is simply out of sight, people just don’t see it coming. In this instant you can literally knock someone down.
In this week’s ‘how to fight science’ video we look at a simple method of distracting your attacker in self defence and then using a short distance kick to disable your attacker in self defence. It’s highly effective, but we suggest that you practice hitting with one kick on a heavy bag to piece of timber over a short distance to develop knock down power.
Remember there is more to learning how to fight. You must learn how to punch, how to move well if you want to end a fight quickly. Better yet learn a martial art, or a good form of self defence, and most importantly build your fitness. After all, if all fails then you can run very fast from any fight.
We have lots more videos on how to fight with Wing Chun. Please visit our channel. Better yet feel free to leave a comment or a suggestion of what you would like us to film for you. It does not have to be about Wing Chun it can be about any subject related to fighting, how to fight, Wing Chun techniques, or even Wing Chun vs other styles of martial arts. We are happy to pass on our knowledge and experience free of charge.

+Geekman333 well we are trying, but unfortunately our Subscriber number suggests that we have a long way to go to reach the top. But I truly appreciate your kind words, it gives me encouragement to continue. Have a great day my friend.

Fight SCIENCE I wouldn't let your subscriber numbers discourage you. A lot of today's martial arts enthusiasts have been seduced by the instant-gratification promise of MMA and such. Without trying to appear TOO snobby, I think the discerning types will gravitate to channels such as yours. I'm telling all of the good folks down at my Kwoon about your work. Hopefully you'll get a few more subscribers out of that. Good luck and thanks again.

Mark, thoroughly enjoy watching your work albeit from a distance. It's come a long way since that hall in Chingford! As always you pick relevant topics and explain them in a digestible fashion which keeps me, and I'm sure many, coming back for more. A+ for the cinematography

i like your videos just for the fact that they r not too flashy n the moves can be applied in a real street fight if executed well..!! thats the beauty of this channel IMO
@fightscience

damn you just revealed my secret go to technique I can verify that THIS is the way to bridge the gap effectively its my primary move and it works EVERYTIME I perfect it by using lampposts and telegraph poles and other such surfaces coz when you apply it HAS TO BE REAL !! strike not to distract ( although this is the primary reason ) strike to maim and then follow through by taking everything down and pouring into the space . . this is why I no longer rely on deflections/blocks using this negates the need for all that if done in conjunction with verbal triggers and suitable distraction (shouting suddenly spitting in the face yes that works to on the street you get one chance USE IT WISELY !!) this is devastating I find that this is virtually impossible to defend against and if you go in with 100% conviction then you will walk away as always mark you are right on the cutting edge mate despite my experience I watch your stuff all the time you know your stuff (and for the smile of course hahaha)

id like to find out how to defend against to handed shirt grabbing. Because i have been in a recent fight using wing chun but nothing from what i know of wing chun worked against the opponent grabbing my shirt sleeve and collar and pulling me around so i ended up having to use my nowledge of judo wich i just barely know because i study Wing Chun more than any other martial art

Nice !! is best use this or a punch in the solar plex with distraction, sifu ? You're Really Good
@Porotopop1
@Porotopop1 7 жыл бұрын
A punch in the solar plexus will only work if the receiver is totally relaxed. Also, heavy clothing (puffer jackets, leather jackets) will dissipate a lot of the force you put into it, unless you are a reasonably trained boxer. Even then, a crisp left hook to the jaw works better.
@fightscience
@fightscience 7 жыл бұрын
+Efraim Jorge either, but at range I prefer shin kick it's fast and works well in my experience. Although the punch to the solar plexus we discussed is better when he's in your face. Thanks for watching again. Have a great day.

+Porotopop1 good point on clothing. We call that the winter effect. Heavy jackets absorb force. However can train short distance power. Check out some of our videos on the subject. Thanks for watching.

Ok thanks !! i think that a punch in the throat is very efficient too !
@danielskipp1
@danielskipp1 7 жыл бұрын
I use the shovel kick as a stop kick, a trip or sweep or a stomp into ankle or spleen 6, or simply a step forward but relying on a pain technique is not optimal. Kicking is always risky. Not going work well against someone who isn't feeling or afraid of pain... that's who can defend it, aggressors with adrenaline who don't give a sh1t.
@pyramidself-defencesolutio8850
@pyramidself-defencesolutio8850 7 жыл бұрын
fair comment . . ever had a really hard kick on your shinbone ? the point here is not to rely on the kick alone, the kick bridges the gap gives em something to think about whilst you break down the defences then your into the throat and the eyes believe me thats gonna hurt . . .all this in the space of a couple of seconds !!
@danielskipp1
@danielskipp1 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, I know it hurts... when you are not hyped up... but some people hardly feel pain in a fight so it is not something to rely on. Yet a kick is distracting and destabilizing [I aim for the tendon below the kneecap] so I agree it is a good entry into going for the primary targets, the eyes and throat.
@Porotopop1
@Porotopop1 7 жыл бұрын
When you break his ankle the fight is over. Same when you break his metatarsal bones (between the shin and the toes). Who cannot stand up cannot fight.
@danielskipp1
@danielskipp1 7 жыл бұрын
Good point, mate. I can confirm a friend stomped on a bad guy's instep and it finished the fight. I recommend as a default entry similar to the Hsing I "chicken step", every step forward as the arms attack being a shovel kick to the shins followed by a scrape down the shins and/or stomp onto the foot.The stamping also gains good rooting and rebounding power into the upper strikes and often scares the sh1t out of them! Nobody likes being stomped on the feet.

+Daniel Skipp oh totally agree with the adrenaline issue, but a few of these kicks with hard shoes will do a lot of damage. Thanks for staying with us Daniel.

how can i stay calm and concentrated when a situation is going to happen or in a fight ? or is there any technique or special training to stop this adrenaline rush and the fear of a fight? thank you very much and i appreciate every thing you do
@Asakura834
@Asakura834 7 жыл бұрын
the answer to that is training. This adrenaline rush is tricky, it can make you superman for a short time but it make you feel scared like a puppy... When you fight you dont think cause if you do it will distract you and lose precious time which the opponent can take advantage. After, lots of days and hours spending in training your body will remember these moves which they will allow you to react and defend yourself.

As always no nonsense, just good practical techniques. Wish you could train me. I feel all the martial arts training I've had would be useless in real life. Luckily I've never had to prove myself but it's just I've encountered situations where I have cowered away. For example in a pub many years ago a female friend accidentally knocked over this guy's jacket. She laughed thinking it he would take it good spirits but he must have had a bad day because he started getting very verbally abusive. I just sat there frozen and scared and did nothing. To this day I still feel a lot of shame. At that point I must have been training for 1 year. But the thing is there would have been no need for violence, merely a way to de escalate. Now I'm pretty fit, can still do the splits and my kicks aren't bad but fear just freezes me. I wonder Sifu do you run workshops in other areas of the UK on occasion. I live near Oxford and there is nothing here like you teach except maybe krav maga but that's so dammed expensive. You're required to buy one of their t shirts before your first class then you have to pay like 40/50 quid a month.

*Why would you get involved in that situation?*
@Thomogon
@Thomogon 7 жыл бұрын
I really think that if you would combinate these fast techniques with a little bit of basic kickboxing defense, a good ground game or even sprawl and brawl style if you want to go that way and have your clinch game up and running you would be able to fight in MMA professionally using any style of kung fu as your main style. The thing is that many of these fighters overcommit to that style and don't try to innovate on what they lack on for example the ground or in a clinch and then get out wrestled by a Jiu Jitsu guy or kneed and elbowed into oblivion by a Muay Thai kickboxer, and therefore think that they are incapable and stop fighting in general. It's a lost art but you can surely make it work.
@fightscience
@fightscience 7 жыл бұрын
+Thomogon actually I agree. That's why out guys also train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, wrestle, box, kickbox, and compete. No one style rules, you have to be able to go where a fight goes. Thanks for watching.
