You chose a good brand to collect. I collect them also. I have a limited edition Lobo Damascus with palm wood scales which cracked. So I called Benchmade and asked if I could buy replacement scales from all the surplus materials they got when they bought out Lone Wolf. The guy said, rather uncaringly "Oh, we trashed all that stuff, man - we don't have anything left for those things." So I am making my own parts now (for my own collection).

I also collect Lone Wolf knives. Yesterday I ordered the Lone Wolf US 1911.

I know the story. Bench made immediately shut down the Oregon plant and offshored lone wolf brand to Singapore. They wanted to buy lone wolf because of their double action auto design. Word was the same guy that drew up the schematics was contracted to draw it up for bench made too for the Singapore manufacturer. Though he was pissed about the shady way bench made acquired Lone wolf and fired everyone in Oregon so he deliberately slightly altered the design so that the first production run of tens of thousands of knives would be slightly off. That was the end of the double action. I’m lucky enough to own a beautiful snakewood Diablo.. I used to own the same knife in Cocobolo and I lost it. But ten or so years ago I showed my knife off to one of my best friends, and he bought the snakewood version somehow. He passed it on me couple years ago.

I collected them too for years. They were great knives excellent quality. I am in my 60s so many years of collecting. Have ever heard of Pacific Cutlery knives. They were before benchmade Samson knives with Lion head.
