Exploring the new Fractal: Lonely Tower! It is taking place in the Wizard's Tower. The Fractal was released along the third and last update for the Secret of the Obscure expansion.

I tried T1 for this. It's stupid hard if you dont have proper team comp. Group ended up giving up after 5 tries on the final boss.

i mean the 99 CM is "okay-ish" now. it just takes a bit. but the new 100 NM is just reaching a new hight tbh

I have already seen T4s and recs (No 100 or Aquatic). Both where the dailies today lol.

I believe while one expansion each year policy has some merits, it also kills the creativity as a side effect, squeezing people's schedules... I don't expect anything innovative from the devs anymore

They did. Just before the planet shut down, NCSoft slashed the budgets for all their studios, and most of the old guard had to be replaced with newer, cheaper people to keep the studio going.

That end fight seems ridiculously long... Silent Surf is long too, but it has mechanics that makes the fight dynamic and fun, well, at least for me. This just looks spongy. No special action key, just vanilla stuff we've seen before. A lot of damaging stuff on the ground to tap dance around, pick up some orbs, shockwaves, cc... on and on and on for so long... meh. Edit: this video didn't go into it, but picking up the orbs in the last fight gives you things that can influence the fight. The blue orbs make you do less damage, should be picked up by the healer. Others give more CC, more damage etc. Getting this right could speed up the fight. So, maybe not so spongy after all. Time will tell once we all figure it out.

sorry silent surf isn't fun. all fractals are very quickly meanwhile only these shit fractals take forever to do.

@@ayalabaleeiro8398 Long fractals can be fun, and short ones too. It depends on what they're like, and personally, I like variation. Tbh, I didn't enjoy Silent Surf back when it "dropped" because it was a bit all over the place before you got used to it, but now I am and now I do. I know many people don't, but I like that the fight has so many things going on. It's what makes it fun for me.

This fractal gona shine with affixes like afficted,social and puke. I have no clue how they can put this garbage boss with 40 milion hp in same rotation as decade old fractals which take 4 mins to complete and bosses have around 1 milion hp.

You'd expect they'd learn since Silent Surf but god this surely is embarrassing... I'd love to think its because this has been in development and most stuff was decided for a while and we'll see improvement in the following patches/ next expansion...

It still frustrates me that they keep replacing what's at fractal 100. It needs to be Shattered Obs again.

Anet pls make a seperate daily for those who do CMS on a daily basis and those who dont run CMS but still do the normal dailies. I dont want to waste like 1hour 30 mins for just fractals.

Any tips for the boss fight? Ive been told everyone to collec a different colour orb or it matters not?

I think the orbs give you different type of buffs but I'm not sure which one give what

@@Trutichup my group figured out you only want the healer to eat blue ones, i forget why, rage gave a power buff, envy a condi buff...and I forget what they said gluttony did

It's just a bullet sponge boss that absolutely screws over melee fighters... There are almost no tells for what this boss is going to do. I tried this boss a few times. some bad groups, and some really good ones... It's NOT a fun fight. There is a very GOOD reason most T4's will exclude this fight. I'm not touching it till they calm it down or add some mechanics that actually make sense instead of just punish the player for no good reasons.

It’s because a normal T4 and recs group is about an hour. It gets longer with more longer fractals. I like doing a run after reset which is 8pm for me. That extra time would cut into other activities or my sleep or just not run them as often. Most people don’t want to spend an extra 30 mins for the same rewards that used to only take an hour. If they want a long boss fight then the rewards for that fight should be better like CMs.
