reason why that first clip of the dash 8 with the private car is going slow, is because they have really expensive stuff in there set up, they dont want it to fall. those private cars, if they get damaged, its over. thats hella money.

What amazing locos! It is interesting how in the USA 10-12 coach passenger trains are considered long. Here in India with the heavy demand for passenger trains 10-12 coach is a very short train. We have 24 coach long snakes here. 17-20 coaches is most common.

The route in the video is the Pacific Surfliner route from San Diego to San Luis Obispo, CA running up to a dozen trains daily, 2 of those go all the way to San Luis Obispo, 4 to Santa Barbara & 6 as far as Los Angeles, plus there's Metrolink commuter trains between Ventura & Los Angeles, Los Angeles & Oceanside, plus the Coaster commuter trains between Oceanside & San Diego. The Pacific Surfliner route of Amtrak is the busiest route on the West Caost, so it's not uncommon to find 8 to 10 cars on the Pacific Surfliners at times. I rode the San Diegans now called Pacific Surfliners 7 times when I lived in the San Diego area.

Nice video, today (Christmas 2018), train 1566 has a Viewliner lounge car, which means train 777 will later after 1566's trainset reverses direction. You might want to keep an eye out for that.

Railfanning Meteorologist Productions there are many cities & towns that have a very dumb, stupid, idiotic ordnance that the train engineers can't sound the horns when they approach a grade crossing, and going through a grade crossing as well as sounding the horn when the train is arriving at a station and ready to leave a station. In Loser City Tucson, its suburbs of Maran! vail, plus in Lakeland,FL and many other cities & towns across the nation, the train engineers can't sound the train horns at all. But yet those same cities & towns don't get on those making noises with their loud music, running their motor vehicles loud & motorcycles being too noisy.
