Hey Stephen, I just wanna say how much I appreciate your videos. I’ve been watching you since before I was accepted into dentistry and today, I officially finished my 1st year ! I absolutely love this program !! Watching you even before getting accepted motivated me so much because I did 2 years of OT before getting in and was slowly losing drive lol but it all worked out great in the end. Wish you success in your studies and career and hope you continue to make such high quality content

nice video Stephen. I look forward to videos like these because I'm entering clinic soon, and with all the stories I hear it makes me nervous and excited. I know it's gonna be a huge learning curve, and take a lot of adjustment.. but hearing you talk about it is encouraging. as you mentioned, time surely is flying! they say in dental school the days are long but the years are short. keep going!

Thanks for another great video Stephen! Really appreciate the honesty in this one in particular. I am a first year dental student and you're right a lot of the time it is portrayed that we have to be the best in the class and produce immaculate work every time when it really is not the case. And the advice of taking it one day at a time could not be more true. Just as a side note I was wondering how long it took you to get used to actually treating patients because I have yet to see a real patient that isn't my friends and it's something that feels like it will be a huge hurdle, does it just take time to get comfortable with all that comes with seeing real patients? Keep up the good work bro!

I recently started watching your videos and i really enjoy it although i’m not a dental school student, I think that i like the lifestyle of dentists but one thing i hate is that i’m always afraid of diseases, blood, and everything damp and unclean.. Do you think it is possible for that to change after majoring and studying? Or do you think that’s an enough reason to not major in dental ? Thank you always!

Stephen, just found your channel thank God. Have a ton of questions but my main one is that I’m doing a career change at 29 yrs old and really passionate about dentistry. What’s the best path to take as far as certifications or degrees? Assistant into Hygienist? Where would I start I guess.

I was on the same boat as you. Not knowing where to start when I first got into dentistry. For me, I started as a dental assistant in a trade school. It’s the quickest way to learn and get certified and then work your way from there!

Stephen please ask your dad why some people are just doing well in and learn fast in practical work and some are don’t ? And what can we do about it ?

Hi :) I've been what most people call a silent fan for about a year now but first off I wanted to say thank you for your videos, as someone who wanted to become a dentist her whole life, your videos kept me motivated AND now I am proud to say I got accepted. I have no ode if you're ever going to see this but in case you do, I wanted to say thanks and let you know that I appreciate you ⊂((・▽・))⊃ I'm actually so nervous about what I'm going to when the semester begins so I want to study beforehand. I know everyone university has their own program but despite the differences I'm sure base and roots of information are the same so Would you please tell me what books should I study each year? I know we should study some med related stuff and I need to know which books. I would be so glad if you'd answer or even better make a video of "must know or must be studied books each year" I'm sorry I talked too much I'm just excited :)) Have a good day!

The best advice I’ve read about the summer before starting dental school is not to study ahead or stress about it, but spend precious time with friends and family, travel, etc while you still can. It will be a lot harder once you start school and you’ll learn/study all you need to know once you start, no need to prepare over summer or get a head start, it won’t make a difference in your scores. Don’t waste your time in panic mode, instead relax, enjoy quality time, maybe get organized but don’t worry about academics until dental school starts.
