I knew the guy that I'm married with now is my The One, so we had a long distance relationship when we started dating. Knowing expectations is a big one. Plus the thing he did every day is say "good morning". Because he is an artist, he didn't always say good night- sometimes he'd fall asleep while we were chatting or he would be out somewhere. The thing is, consistency is key. Like whenever my guy goes out or has a gig (music show), then he would call me before and/ or after the show. If you do inconsistent things or your partner does, you should worry.

Yeah, doing things together really works hey. I am in Nelspruit and my boyfriend is in Pretoria but almost every night we would watch the same movie and text our responses. We also talk on the phone and both fall asleep on the phone which is amazing.

Long distance relationships are often filled with absence. The feeling of absence goes away when you're feeling warm about something your partner did. Doing anything your partner would smile at and showing them (via text, image, call, etc.) goes a long way. You could try making Snapchat/Insta/WhatsApp story-like videos for them to feel involved in your every day life.

No relationship is worth that much effort. I'd rather die on my own than subject myself to the torture of a relationship.
