The Phelps arm swing is something he’s done since he was 15. I think it became a mental trigger or switch for fast swimminG. When they had a false start or reset, he did the arm thing again to reset his brain. I coach swimming for a living and watch a lot of other athletes of different sports looking for the secret sauce.

Spindle snapped?...or a missing bolt? His left foot was strange enough...but keep an eye on his right foot with *everything* still attached as he was tumbling forward. Flying chainring danger indeed.
