Hi Craig, indeed, I was totally amazed just to see one in the distance, but not behind twigs or branches as they would usually be. But then to continue finding them (follow their calls) was jaw-dropping stuff! Until I tried this location, I had only seen 1 LEO last season and none for several years before that. So to be able to just stand there admiring their every twitch and 'slow blinks' was pretty surreal tbh. It was a total priviledge and one I maynever experience again, but captured as a forever memory. Thank you as always, my Deer friend. 👍◕‿◕

This is absolutely fantastic Jane. These captures are so beautiful. I’ve never even seen a Long Eared Owl so to watch these close ups, the Owlets and the adults hunting was beautiful. You really do get to some incredible places Just brilliant. 👍👍👍

Hi Dave and Sue, this was just mind-blowing for me too, as I had only seen one in around 7 years, prior to this LEO bonanza! We usued to have a parliament of these Owls at Marton Mere Nature Reserve in Blackpool... it was before I had my camera and because I saw them almost every day as we walked the dogs right past them... I just took them for granted, but then in 2016 some stupid photographer trampled through an historical orchard and brambles to try and get even closer to the Owls... and they abandoned the site and never returned. :( Having saiod that, they were all usually behind twigs so would be hard to get good footage as they were... so this place has more than made up for that, as far as observing them so close and being able to capture the moments on film. Thank you as always for fully watching and always really good and positive comments, my dear friends. 👍◕‿◕

Hi Anita, thank you for the congrat's and yes, I was super lucky to see so many LEO's around a small area and I was amazed (and thankful) that they were so easy to film with no twigs or anything in front of them. They were mesmerising to watch for as long as I could stand still... basically it was always pitch black when I left... thankfully there was a path to follow right back to the road. These are right up there among my favourite ever days filming birds. Thank you as always for your continued support, my dear friend. 👍◕‿◕

Dear Jane, finally I watched this video and, maybe it is the first time, I was really moved. The film edited in a perfect way with the music magically fitting made me really speechless and... moved. It could be even due to the fact I remember that You wrote me that You spotted their place but then You were not able to go as planned, so seeing this wonderful film where all comes together touched my cords. An absolute masterpiece... Thank You very much dear Jane for giving me these marvelous minutes!
@WildlifeBirdsUK

Hi Andrea, it's so good to hear from you my dear friend. Yes, I spent time trying to make the scenes fit to the music and I am happy that you noticed my efforts. And on the days I did get the chance to go to this incredible stronghold for these fabulous Owls, I was there very early in the morning until late in the evening... at least a 14 hour day! Even after such a long day, I didn't want to leave either! And your timing is great as I have 2 friends who love to photograph birds and want me to take them, which I am happy to do and we are trying to plan a day in the next 2 weeks, but the weather this season has been the very worst I can ever remember for lack of decent days. It has rained so much and rivers have burst their banks etc. If not rain, then the wind has been high and makes it harder to film. plus the house takes up much of my time.... AND KZfaq demonetized my channel and also ignored my appeal! Their reason is unbelievably stupid and 100% pathetically WRONG!!! My channel has been demonetized, according to the uninformed, ill educated idiots who made the decision, as he/she/they say that a great deal of my videos have been made for 'sexual gratification' !!!! THIS IS VERY UPSETTING AND SO UNBELIEVABLE !!! How on this Earth can it be so? Anyway, that's what they have done to me and if they had a rival, I would be off in the blink of an eye. Thank you as always for your fabulous comments, my dear friend. Have a wonderful Sunday and new week ahead. 💗👍◕‿◕

Thank You for Your detailed answer dear Jane, and at the same time sorry for taking away Your time! By the way, 14 hours in a day are a lot! I do not have such an experience yet. That explains why I felt a depth of an another dimension in Your video! Yes, You told me that Your channel had been demonetized, so that is their official reason... With such distorted rules, ethics or whatever they are, I do not get what the modern society is trying or thinking to protect. I absolutely agree with You.

Hi Brenda and Chris... the thumbnail effect was tricky, having to find the right footage to fit the shapes, but I got there in the end. I was so super lucky to try out this new location and find several individual Owls, one after another, without too much time between finding each one. (they were easy... just follow the calling sounds mostly) This was one of those times that even on my way home, I was figuring out how soon I could return... and I was there early in the morning and stayed until it was too dark to film... done for I think 4 separate days, certainly 3 at least. I returned home totally amazed and happy on each occasion. I felt so lucky and it was a true priviledge. Thanks you as always for your sincere and very kind comments, my valued friends. Good luck when you guys next go out into nature... it has been none stop raining here for 2 days now. 👍◕‿◕

@@WildlifeBirdsUK I love making thumbnails. Yes they can be tricky but I find them fun and they get my creative thoughts flowing. My Nikon does terrible in low life. It’s been a very dark here from rain and fog. I’m not having much luck getting ducks. Even if I can’t video them seeing them brings me so much joy. Have a great evening.

@@NaturesFairy A good thumbnail can be gold-dust for views every now and then. I always try for a good one but much of the time it is just a single bird picture that you can't do too much with. I do like your effects you add to your videos and it mirrors your happy go lucky personality and it's very 'cheery' ◕‿◕ Nikon not great as you say in dim light. I find my old Panasonic camcorder really good in a low or dim light. Have you been going back to the location that attracts migrating Ducks? There could literally be anything there and it's the right place at the right time and that includes clear water and nice n light with little wind. I hope you manage to get a break in the weather to capture your trips on camera. It is just so wet and windy here, day after day... but finally, a rain free day forecast for Wednesday so maybe I'll get out for a while. I am a bit sore after cutting floorboard sheets to size and painting... hopefully it will ease off by Wed'. Anyway, I know rain won't put you off going out and often you can get lucky with a bright interval... so fingers crossed it will happen for you and you'll see something special. *Big Hugs*

I agree with you for many videos but almost all the footage on this video were spoiled by a few other photographers present and all talking and clicking away, plus a fair wind blowing, so it needed the music.
