A rare performance of Long Haired Redneck. Not too much footage of David from the 70's out there. As you can see he was amazing then too.

The only country music superstar that actually took time to have a conversation with me. He was just standing in the crowd before the show. I walked up, introduced myself and my wife, asked him about the inspiration for some of his songs. I then told him I was looking for a record (Jimmy Buffett doesn't live in Key West anymore). He showed me where I could find it. Shook my hand and walked on to the next fan.

DAC is world famous but still hasn't gotten the credit he deserves. He is on a level with the greatest country song writers of all time. He never backed off or made excuses for his history and that made the big boys in the music business afraid of him. It made the fans love him more. He is the original and true outlaw who , more than likely, inspired the entire country outlaw thing. As far as I know it was only DAC/HAG/PAYCHECK that actually did any time.

Yeah he is an ex but I was only 16 when were married and only, I was pregnant within 2 months, and "Look, we are still very close, please think of people like kid's when you write your ugly comments, as I don't have 1 bad thing to say about the man and I sure have a beautiful daughter thanks partly to him and how many of ya'll's ex's would say that"? yes I believe the age difference was just a # to me! He is a perfection with his work and for many years David did it all, bookings, management , writing and entertains by giving all of himself to his shows. He's done something right as he has many millions of fan's! That's to all the good comments..
