Just casually holding a poisonous toad like its nothing, also one of the biggest cane toads I've ever seen mostly because we kill them before they get that big.

I have an adult black and white tegu love them there a very gentle and smart species I got her around her 1st birthday and she always understood we were here to help feed her water her and help get her shed off when she needs it she likes being pet and she’s never tried to snip at my fingers even if I pet her nose😂

As an Australian, I couldn't control the visceral hate that filled me at sight of that gluttonous Cane Toad. The devastation they cause to our native wildlife is horrible.

We have Cane toads in Florida all over the place and Ive never even seen them get half the size of that one shown here. Crazy. Theyre also hella dangerous and invasive so we kinda cull them

Because I'm in Europe (London, E1) our laws are different for old and new world animals as if they did escape they wouldn't survive our climate, they'd die off by winter. I've got giant African land snails, achatina achatina, lissachatina raticulata, lissachatina fulica in 200l bio tank, spring tails, very large colony of giant orange isopods, worms. Pig nosed turtle (aka fly river turtle, very easy to purchase here), African Catfish, spotted/common pleco (she's 1 ft😁 they get bigger here for some reason, not just in my tanks but everyone I know with them, they can get huge, I can provide pics if I'm told a place to send them). Super red dragon flowerhorn, Silver Arowana. Parrot fish, Fire Eels. Poecilotheria Metallica (Indian blue tarantula and my newest addition😍), several false widows (native and non native), rubber duckies (isopods), amelanistic corn snake, giant axolotl, variety of aquatic snails and river shrimps for live feeding (really the only things we can legally use for live feeding, live fish & mammalian feeding is illegal), erm I'm probably forgetting something 🤔 I'm 36 with more than 30 years experience, my aunt got me in to animals, she quite literally had a private zoo in a 4 bedroom house and i never once saw a wall free, even tanks at top of the ceiling opened from the front, vivs, (couldn't and still can't pronounce vivarium lol). I'd be here forever listing my past collections let alone my aunts, so I've just said what I've got currently. Happy with what I've got, which is a massive downsize from what I've had previously. It's easy to get attached to pets with long lives and personalities, you'll come to find some need more attention and interactive stimulating than others, even the little ones, I wont keep pets with just a few months to a year life span anymore. I've only rehomed when it's been absolutely necessary and that the animal would be better off elsewhere, like a zoo, not everything should be a pet is what I'm saying. Take care when choosing. Research and research and more research.

I know in a lot of places Kane toads are illegal because people release them and they’re now invasive in the wild.
