They don't show it in the anime but Aisha feels hurt a lot when Norn says that shit as she's the daughter of a second wife, she always feels inferior. I wish they show this in the next season. Aisha is an interesting character.

really? I didn't get that from the LN at all, it was just the same "Norn doesn't think when she speaks" thing. Then she called Rudeus pathetic and proceeded to smile (probably because she now has a chance to join as a new wife 😭)

Sylphie was in the same position as Roxy as she met Rudy at the academy. She thought Rudy and Elinalise are together and Sylphie wished she could be his second wife at least.

To reiterate why Eris left in the first place, it's because she loved Rudeus, but she didn't feel like she was strong enough as a warrior to stand by his side. This time she's been gone has been her working on changing that. (Not a spoiler because this was revealed at the end of season one)

Sylphy was actually dead serious when she said if she were in Roxy's shoes in that sort of situation that she'd do the same. Previously (at least in novels to my memory) when she first reunited with Rudy in Ranoa she assumed that Elinalise was his woman or at least someone deeply involved with him so Sylphy was actually wondering how to fit her way in just to belong to Rudy. Not to mention that her life up until that point has been around Greyrats and the Asuran Royal Family who were generally perverted and polygamous as it is so Rudy's whole situation isn't really a slight to her (in her eyes). If anything, her first assumption after realizing that that was Roxy was a fear that since Rudy's reunited with the mentor that he respects most that he would just abandon her to go with Roxy. Edit: Also note how Sylphy's eyes react to Rudy fessing up when Rudy said that Roxy saved him. She truly meant that Roxy and her were the same.

Yeah it's not about she will do to take Rudy from his first wife. But because she cares about saving Rudy in his desperate situation even though in the end she also have another motive. All the women that loves Rudy they want to help Rudy, Including Eris. If Slyphy not the one saving Rudy from ED, and that person that will save Rudy is Roxy no doubt.

I think with the "she'd do the same" she meant that she would bed Rudeus if he was dying from depression and there was no other way, even if he has a wife. Not that she would become a homewrecker for no good reason.

I like how Brandon describes Norn's fit, pretty much the twitter reactions and I think it's perfect. The show isn't trying to hide anything, justifying the actions to US about the characters. Any decent human being understands the implications of the actions Rudeus and Roxy took. In fact, Norn isn't wrong at all, in terms of how we the audience sees it. But, Imagine getting caught up in a friends/family feud, you've awkwardly become the bystander, and have some opinions to say, but it really isn't your place to say. It's up for the people involved to make their own decisions, and if it works out, great, if it doesn't, then maybe that's the time you step in. Sometimes I wonder if people making those arguments are the same people who watched Apothecary Diaries. The idea of concubines, and to that extension, 'love' was a whole different zeitgeist then it is today. It's understandably unfathomable for us today, to wrap our heads around the cultures of the past, which is how it is because we have moved on and improved/learned from it. What's great about this show is that it's a biography of sorts, and of course its many themes of identity, redemption, family, etc. The MC isn't infallible, and I think that's what makes this show fascinating to watch... that and we get the really cool animation, worldbuilding, action, power scaling lol

I think that the fact the woman in question was Roxy is what let Sylphy accept it so calmly... She probabl wouldve been angry if Rudy brought some random woman but she knows how much Rudy respects and loves Roxy and thats why she accepted it so easily plus the fact that Roxy saved Rudy

Such a good episode. One of the goats of isekai showing why tropes exist. The story till now is the Buena village arc of the story, stakes only go up from here.

It felt different to season 1 and yet an extension of it. But holy hackers, my friend tells me we basically just finished the prologue of what's to come. I can't imagine. I can't wait. Can't be more glad for this provoking, brave, interesting, well-made show.

it is not really a prologue, more like the first part of the story. We finally finished the main plot we had all this time (the teleportation incident) and Rudeus finally becomes an adult. season 1 covered the juvenile period and season 2 covered the adolescent period. Season 3 will start the adult period

Minor spoilers of when I think we might just *see* Eris next I think the next we will see of Eris will be in an ova after season 3 part one that follows a girl named Nina (I think that's her name) she's the blue haired girl you see briefly in the episode Badi come in at, after Rudeus defeats the beast man

what? that wouldn't make sense, the ova needs to be before season 3. if they continue adapting it the same way (3 volumes per cour) then everything from Eris needs to be explained before the end of the first cour

@@ShiNijuuAKL it’s been a while since I’ve read the LN, but there’s all the daily life stuff, the Nanahoshi arc, the old man, and the prep for the fight, and I think that the season 3 part one will end with the letter being sent . Then the ova, starting with Nina at the dojo before Ghislaine and Eris get there, and it follows Nina as she sees Eris training and everything else, then they get the letter and it ends with them leaving. That way season 3 part 2 will start with the fight, then go through the other three novels Unless they just have that or a straight up Eris episode as an episode

@@blondlorelord33 it they start cour 2 with the fight there wouldn't be enough time to adapt the following 3 volumes. The scenario would be for season 3 to adapt only 5 volumes (I would love 4 but it wouldn't make sense to split volume 16 and 17). Volume 18 would be a weird way to end the season. But we can only hope, as they have consistently adapted 3 volumes per cour

I really did not like the omission from the Web Novels where Elinalise tricks Rudeus into believing that Roxy is pregnant, to me it showed that Rudy was still a scum bag for cheating but was still standup enough to take responsibility. In the webnovel that was reason enough for him to decide to get married and to take care of Roxy and their child.

Honestly i dont see it happen in season 3 yet. Too much between now and eris return But then, I also didnt think they get to the teleporter labyrinth in S2 so what do I know Edit: I take it back. I just checked. Eris returns in ~3 volumes which is more than doable. I guess i thought there was more

@@einherjar4902 nah its actually predictable they kinda foreshadowing so many time. Even without LN source that I read we can see Eris could be the third wife. Glad the author manage the harem stuff not in the cheap way.
