I'm 100% sure that that prawn mee is not very delicious but people are willing to queue for 30 minutes because it's $3.00. No matter how delicious or how cheap the food is, I won't want to stand in line for more than 15 minutes. Once, because of a China friend, we went to Maxwell at 4 pm and there was no queue at the Tian Tian. It's really good, authentic Hainanese chicken rice but I won't queue more than 30 minutes for it.

I didn't get to try the $3 prawn mee, so I can't tell if it's worth the queuing. U r right, if even very nice, the time and effort needed to queue may not be worth the while.

There is certainly plenty to choose from here. You would be unlucky not to find something for lunch. Markets are great for all your daily needs, and cheap too. This market is so close to residential areas, very handy. The old man riding his bicycle in the supermarket.
