In this video we will cover axis of symmetry, principle axis of inertia, statically imbalanced projectiles, and dynamically imbalanced projectiles. We also explore how imbalanced bullets can experience lateral throw off and aerodynamic Jump.
Summary:
1. Spin is required to stabilize bullets in flight.
2. Defects in bullet construction can throw off balance resulting in a statically imbalanced projectile. Also, in-bore tipping can cause the projectile to be dynamically imbalanced, which can cause aerodynamic jump.
3. The faster the twist-rate, the more deviation one can experience due to these factors.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. Use well balanced bullets
2. Be sure bullets are loaded with care to minimize effects of in-bore tipping
3. Don't use more twist than you have to to effectively stabilize the bullet.
Thank you for your donations to the Rex Reviews Project! We hope these videos continue to be a great help to you all.

Rex - God bless you for putting this series together! I have been shooting for over 40 years, but rarely beyond 400 yards (and with some difficulty at that range). The change in consistency at distances beyond 400 yards after your instruction is unbelievable.

Rex thanks for making this video series. Your knowledge in long range shooting is extremely impressive. Before I found your video series I was think about taking a long range class. I'm glad I didn't. This video series contains a wealth of knowledge. More than what could be explained in any weekend or week class. Thanks again for taking time to share your experience and knowledge with us.

Everything from Simmons to Swarovski…. whatever we have in the truck at the time. As long as you can see what going on and spot bullet trace, you are good. As long as its relatively clear you are OK. No turrets or recoil to worry about. If you are looking for a good LR spotter, I’d get one with a Mil reticle so you can call the shot with more precision. Check the USO spotter, the Leupold MkIV and the high end Vortex model with the 20X mil-scale eye piece.

I usually opt for stainless steel if I have the choice due to its increased resistance to chemical and high temperature thermal erosion mechanisms. The US Armed Forced made the same decision for the M24 SWS and the M40 rifles after extensive examination of all the various criteria. Chrome molybdenum steel works great and I use many rifle with barrels of this material, but stainless might be a little better after conducting the full cost/benefit analysis.

Howdy! I just installed the button last week. Basically: I've had so many offers from folks to help fund my video operation that I decided I would be wise to provide that opportunity. I should post a video for you guys explaining our mission in full detail. Please don't donate unless you strongly feel obligated to do so. There are lots of people out there who need the money much much more than do - so be sure to take care of them first :-)

Just a suggestion for the ballistic tables.... I added a diagram of my reticle component dimension values at the bottom of the chart, next to the mirage diagram. This really comes in handy when using more than 1 type of scope so you do not need to remember all of the dimensions for ranging via the reticle

I play guitar, bass, some percussion, and I even 'howl' into the microphone. I have a few music videos posted if ya want to see the battle cry of the TiborasaurusRex in its natural environment... check out my music vids: Magnetic Night, Under the Ice, Adhuru Maya, and the others. I usually use my Ibanez SZ520 and my old Peavy T-40 for recording...but I use other stuff as well. Musicians always make great LR operators - lots of well developed peripheral mental acuity :-)

Rex, i like watching the videos you have bben producing and i am learning a lot of priceless theory. It has helped me far. BUT! I am a terrible marksman. Will you make videos on "How to get behind the gun", "Breathing", "Trigger handling" and such? Keep em coming nonetheless :)

I agree with BareRobert..... A small series on marksmanship and shooting basics would be great. I'm a 1+ MOA shooter and can not seem to string 5 sub MOA shoots together. HELP......Please

crappycapt has a good suggestion! I've got hours and hours in watching your series. To me its comparative the concept of reading music or just only knowing how to play from guitar tab. You have taken my understanding farther than I knew it would go. But on another note..you have no vids on your music. I'm assuming your a guitarist, but i could be wrong I guess. Personally I've got a Jackson, an Ibanez, a Schecter , But for some reason I'm always jamming on my BcRich Zombie..What do u play?

Trying to find out what might be going on with the setup I'm using. Just under 1 in group at 100 and around 1&1/6 in groups at 400 yds. Happy but odd results. 75gr eld .223 1-7 twist suppressed. Any insight would be appreciated.

Perhaps in time, we can contribute toward your $ 3 Million Effect Studio... Please take that as "Dry Humor"... :) I am here to help, just state, why and what! My donation will be sent soon there after. Be Well- JMV
