This is a requested video of what in my opinion, I would carry in a long term wilderness bug out situation. Lots of short term bags, a longer term bag is completely different. #Survival #Survivalgear

as ex-military, I know that you must must must, take care of your feet. without those your in serious trouble. I would suggest taking ALL the socks you can carry. your doo rags are also important, but your feet are more important. dry warm feet are happy feet.

Brother I can guarantee you that the only people insulting you are those guys that go out and "practice bushcraft" for an afternoon, and then return home. Anyone that has been out in the woods for extended periods recognize the genius in your videos, especially this one. Great job man

If your using a compass..... Don't have your rifle in your hands or any where near when navigating. I spent the night in the Adirondacks because of this. Your gun will get you lost. Lean your Rifle against a fallen tree and move 10 feet away when you use your compass. Metal will give false readings on your compass.

May I suggest another use for charcoal, it has healing properties, we use it to brush our teeth, rinse our teeth,we use it for mosquitoes bites, any kinds of cuts, rashes in the skin just dab powder charcoal it heals everything! Also mixed with water for eye rinse. My two healing ingredients I alway use is charcoal powder and coloidal silver you can also drink for poison, upset stomach or parasites just about anything. I grow and herb garden for just about anything. We are a young 64 year old because we believe in staying healthy, eating plant based diet, and eating lots of our fresh fruits we grow all rich antioxidants that keeps us looking very young. People don’t believe our age.

K. Guys. Im using my wifes phone. Anyway. We all have family. A good idea is to have bags for every family member. That way every1 has wat they need and u can share out the load of things. If u have babys. Get reusable diapers.

I have 3 bug outs ready to go - Red to last a few days - White and Blue will last me a few months. there is also small crank radios that have chargers on it for your phone Need more than water to clean your butt wipe rags Hygiene - No Toothbrush?? Tartar build up and lose your teeth. Wash your crotch - bacteria build up = itch like crazy Extra pair or 2 of eye glasses if you are blind like me What about if you need medication?? Some of us will NOT last a year Some kind of defense against 2 and 4 leg predator Store your food away from camp and hang up in trees Was a good presentation for young people Love your accent and very clear diction = easy to understand

Dave - I have watched so many videos on this topic and far to often the person making the video assumes the viewer knows too much. You did a fantastic job going through the pack and giving reasons why you chose THAT item... which is very helpful and IMPORTANT for the viewers, especially if this is the first video they have watched on the topic.

Being a Marine I can confirm our bags are often anywhere from 75-125 lbs. not counting weapons and ammo. So 40 lbs for a multi-year bug out bag is a very good deal.

This is so well done and such a valuable resource! Don’t ever think that your subscribers get bored on longer videos. We love them. Your take on survival philosophy is one of the best, if not the absolute best. You have given me a VERY valuable education that I am giving to my kids. So thankful for what you do. Keep up the good work as you can with your day gig. May God bless you in every way.
