There was a 20th anniversary thing on either Oprah or some show bk in 1989. I was a 12 year old skater kid girl who loved Guns n Roses & the Chili Peppers. My mom was apparently getting tired of me boasting about my music & had me watch this thing on a talk show about some 60s concert. Okay, pretty cool. My mom, seeing how impressed I was with this hour long thing, had us rent the movie from a local video store. OH MY GAWD...my music taste totally broadened, to what it is today. I love all kinds of music, but this movie totally did it for me.

I SWEAR! If I could, I'd put January 1, 1965 - December 31, 1984 on a NEVER ENDING loop! IMHO, the most exciting, prolific & vibrant 20 years in human history! And, if I was forced to downsize those 20 golden years & only pick THE TEN, absolute pinnacle years, in history, I'd pick 1967-1976! Awesome!

To see this clip from the Woodstock movie is to realize that it still gets you emotionally. There is a screenplay out there which starts at the festival but the story continues straight up until the present.
