Malcolm Young was a marvelous rhythm player. His timing was exquisite. Guitar players can learn a lot from him. Angus is no slouch, either. What a fine lesson, JustinGuitar.

High Voltage, Let There Be Rock, Powerage, Highway to Hell, and Back in Black were my Rock Guitar 101 class when I was first learning guitar as a teen. I owe a debt I can never repay to Malcolm Young.

Wow... You're the first person I've ever seen play this riff right. Nobody ever plays the up stroke and It's the secret to the riff. I saw Malcolm do it in the video and it makes all the difference. Another reason why Justin is one of the best teachers on KZfaq.

I played a lot when I was a kid, but for some reason stopped playing. I just recently started playing again and I have to say, I wish we had KZfaq and guys like you teaching when I was a kid. You're a great teacher and you're so passionate about what you do. Thank you.

Same here. Grew up in the 80’s. Pick up the record needle put it back a couple groves and play it again. I did discover you could take a cassette, chew up some paper and stuff it in the 2 holes and make it recordable... had a cassette full of snips of songs that was SOOOO convenient to practice with. Then I found out they actually sold BLANK cassettes 🤔

Agree, back in the 70's, if you wanted to learn a song you went to a music store and bought the book. Often the chords were very basic and not the same ones the artist played. Sometimes they weren't even the correct chords.

I love songs with two guitars talking to each other, but of course, the parts by themselves don't sound like the song to listeners. Appreciate very much your suggestions on how to combine the parts and even add "bagpipe" to produce the familiar sound with one guitar. Very helpful video. Thanks for posting.

A Person Malcom wrote and built almost all of the song. So yes, angus was/is an extremely small portion of the band, but a powerhouse on the leads. His contribution to this song in particular is minuscule

Excellent ! I'm 30 years playing the guitar on and off, my job always stopped me putting in the time I needed to be a good player! I seem to reteach myself every few years with a KZfaq top up lesson lol. For such an easy song to play, I could never master the picking style. An hours practice after watching your video Justin ,I had it off to the T.. You break it down perfect, thanks so much, your lesson has inspired me to find more time to advance more, keep up the great work.. Rock on dude

Guitar TONE! Something that seem's to be forgotten these days. The Young brothers may only use 4-5 chord song approaches, but they do it really (WELL). Angus always deliver's a great "SOLO". Their so called simple rhythm section leaves so much space for the huge guitar sound they bring. I appreciate the detail you put into these lesson's . Most pub bands butcher ac/dc licks.. Not so easy REPLICATED. I'm in love with that Malcolm Young replica guitar you got there sounds (SWEET).

I don't know if you have too much fuzz....or you use a pinky and Angus wouldn't or if your guitar's the wrong color etc etc All I know is it has the same feel as the song I love. ***** The orignal recording was in Bb, though it's a little 'sharper' than that, on some of the early albums it sounds like they're tuned down a 1/4 step maybe?. And the key choice was because that was the key of the bagpipe drones.
