Nice video. One correction at 1:20. The wheel size corresponds to the diameter, not the circumference.

Plow Kings are huge on the dinghy! 😁. I have an extra set, I should put them on my dinghy. What size riser is on there??

I believe they are 1/4” risers, but I have a dinghy turbo king which has larger wheel wells, so I’m not sure if you’d need bigger ones or not

Hey 👋 I'm not sure if I'm right but as it shows on my phone your views are significantly decreasing compared to those you made quite a long time ago. I'm wondering what's going on, if you don't mind? Your videos are always in good quality and they show that you've really put so many efforts into making serious reviews, tutorials and everything available to other people!

I'm glad you are still enjoying the videos! There isn't a specific reason on my end as far as view counts go, but realize that KZfaq statistics aren't a linear progression. It has its ups and downs. I think partly why my views are lower than earlier in the year is because KZfaq pushes these types of videos more in the spring, summer, and early fall because that's when most people are likely to watch these kinds of videos. Less so in the wintertime. But fear not, one day the KZfaq algorithm is surely going to find me!

Sooo...I'm about to build a cruiser on a fish tail 32" lenght and 10" wide board with 18.5" wheel base with a Paris v3 Truck, I'm still in doubt if I should go with 65mm or 70mm wheels, I'm in for just riding flat ground, bombing small hills and carving. The asphalt here is pretty rough, I've been riding with my street board that have 51mm 90a wheels and I'm not having much trouble most of the time but just fell this weekend because of a rocky path. I don't plan on sliding and I would rather have slower wheels. I'm between the Orangatang 4President and the Love Handles, both 80a. I'm just not sure if 65mm vs 70mm would make much difference and what should be better. What do you think?

I would go with the 70mm. They are not much more expensive than the 65mm, and they will roll over stones and small sticks etc. noticeably easier than the 65mm. However, depending on whether or not your board has wheel wells and how loose you like your trucks to be, you may need to use riser pads with the 70mm. wheels.

So I just got my first longboard I use it to just get to work and ride around for fun nothing fancy.where I live its pretty rocky on the sidewalk and road,what wheels would you recommend?

for the best of the best? Hawgs plow king 72mm have been the best ive ever used for rough terrain. orangatang 4presidents are pretty good also, and so are sharkwheels (but theyre kinda overpriced)

I got blue stims on my omakase around when this school year started because I started longboarding in the summer and didnt know much about wheel duros. If only this video existed before I bought it (i really don't wanna blow 50 bucks on slightly harder identical wheels just to be able to slide :/ )

I think if you wear your wheels down enough they should be able to slide a little bit? At least enough to start learning! Just ride your board a ton and they'll wear down over time!

80mm isn't in the middle man, electric board wheel sizes shouldn't be considered. 80 or 85mm is right at the top end of size, generally for Long Distance Pushing 60mm is low end - Landyachtz use a lot of 63mm wheels (Fatty Hawgs and EZ Hawgs), and 60mm Chubby Hawgs. Middle ground is around 70mm perhaps, with plenty of 65 and 66mm wheels, and some a bit larger than 70mm Also it's diameter not circumference. Circumference is the measurement all the way around the wheel surface Diameter is what is used and determines the ride height. A 60mm wheel adds 30mm of height from the middle of the axel And width matters - simply say a wider wheel - with a wider contact patch (that's the bit that matters) - makes it relatively grippier and harder to slide. Hence the EZ Hawgs vs the Fatty Hawgs Slide vs cruise

First of all, I definitely said that the middle ground for wheel size was 70mm, and I even said my current all purpose wheels are 70 and 72mm. And sure, diameter, not circumference. That's why I'm not a math major. Also I never said width doesn't matter. never said that. But this is a beginner's guide, and I think width is more of an intermediate concern. Most beginners aren't going to care so much about width, and if they wish to learn more about it, I linked an article below about that! edit: #eboardlivesmatter
