I finally got the crossbody conversion kit! It has been a month since I posted • LONGCHAMP LE PLIAGE MI... . I am incredibly pleased with the strap set quality. If you are interested in doing this DIY, I highly recommend this kit I got from Etsy (linked below).
Although this is an easy DIY, I did mess up a little. Check out what I did and learn from my mistakes :)
I also weighed the bag in its original and post-conversation form. I'm happy to share that it didn't increase the weight too much.

Fun fact, that Longchamp le pliage xs at Nordstrom Rack has the best crossbody strap that works with these little pouches. I actually own that XS. The hardware is silver on it, so I purchased my pouch in the green style (silver hardware) so that I can use both bags. I love the ease of both bags. Great video.

Great minds think alike!!! I bought the XS Torchon bag from Nordstrom Rack and the cognac color pouch from the Green line with that exact intention! Since the hardware for this pouch is gold, I also decided to get this kit. The XS bag strap is thicker (which I prefer more), but I like the adjustable aspects of this aftermarket strap. The quality of the aftermarket strap is comparable to the Longchamp one!

I like the grommet hack, but I prefer the hooks that fit on the handle. The grommets go on one pouch, or three pouches for the kit. But the hooks are easily interchangeable without punching holes in your pouch. And, they can also be used on larger bags if needed.

Hello, thanks for the review. Just wondering how you got a customed strap length. Did you private messaged the seller? I thought custom length was in option after watching your video but cant seem to find it.

Hi! You have to purchase the custom length option for an additional $2. You can find this option on the seller’s “all items” page. It worked out for me cause the additional $2 made my shipping free. I hope this helps.

Thanks! It's from Uniqlo. I got this a couple of years ago, but here is the link to this year’s model: www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E450516-000/00. It fits boxy and cropped. This year’s yellow color looks much brighter than the version I have.

I would recommend the thicker strap (0.55” wide) instead of the one that I got (0.35” wide). When I bought it, HelloserenaCrafts only had the thinner sized strap. I still love the quality of the strap, but I wish it was a little thicker for comfort.

The color is called Cypress. It seems like Longchamp retired the color 😢 I got it from Saks 5th.

How big are the grommets?

I bought it as a kit, so I am not 100% share. But the hole puncher that comes with the kits says it is 8mm, so I assume the grommets are that size. Good luck!
