Dizzle, that music was epic, man. The Niki Terpstra thang was awesome. We had a Aussie National Champ in our field in Kaiserslautern way back in the 90's at the Armed Forces Training Camp. Once the BDR bullet brigade (Profi and A/B's) realized who it was, they weren't so upset at nearly being lapped in that crit.

Being able to afford this alone you know he's making BANK given the average house in Boulder costs like $800K for a 2 bdrm 2bath. He also has the opportunity to ride at altitude anytime he wants. Whenever I'm out riding and I see Lachlan he's drinking a beer mid or post ride. Maybe you need to drink more beers?

Justin McQuerry is super cool and one of the nicest guys in the sport. Cool seeing you ride together! How did the State frame ride? Like Lauf says, I think a heavier, cheaper frame is faster on choppy gravel because it's more stable. Then you can spend money where it counts, like wheels and drivetrain. When I surf on choppy days, my heavier longboard is actually a smoother/faster ride than my lightweight performance board. And for people saying an aero helmet gets too hot, Lachlan's obviously didn't and Chris Miller reviewed it as staying cool. Aero helmet is the best bang for your buck for speed. We need to get Dylan wearing one!

someone tell dylan about aero helmets as much as he digs through the mud for marginal gains he missed one of the biggest ones. even in a bunch the helmet sees the most wind since its higher up. by the numbers alone i would estimate lachys aero helmet vs dylans would be 10 minutes through the length of the 200mi course. dylan finished less than 5 minutes behind lachy who actually was eating the wind more than everyone else.

If Dizzle generally pushed harder earlier, he likely would have blown up earlier. The bottlenecks are always the undoing of placing really well using a strictly “negative split” pacing strategy. But, in general, negative splitting is a sound strategy because SO many people go out way too hard.
