I was at the game with the 67 yard field goal. A Fantastic memory.

Was that freeman vs shadle?
@seahawkman237 ай бұрын
@maxamillionpeters614 it was Central Valley vs Shadle. Austin Rehkow was the kid that made it. I unfortunately was rooting for Shadle in that one otherwise it would have been a lot cooler to see it in person.

In Canada, Shaun Suisham hit a 58 yd field goal in HS, no College recruited him. His Uncle sent some videos out to nearby schools. Bowling Green gave him a chance and he played 10 yrs in NFL

All these highschools are elite highschools that get to recruit and choose and pick.

Some of thes kicks could have been from a lit longer, deep into the net, very impressive.

Last one is East Paulding Raiders and I was there. Too bad the kicker was school shopping and changed after that season. He came to us after he left yet another team. He should have stayed with us because the higher classification team he left us for took him nowhere.

Chip shot in Rugby ... The record kick in a Rugby game is 91.9 metres ... that's over 100 yards ... The record drop kick in a Rugby game is 77.7 metres that's 85 Yards ... just think about it, the longest kick in the NFL was 66 yards ... 19 yards less than the Rugby drop kick and over 34 yards less than the longest place kick

Not very conversant in Rugby but is anyone trying to block? There are NFL kickers who can kick in the 70s but in real game situation, the initial angle of trajectory is too low and easy to block.

There's always a Rugby comment on these kinds of videos. NFL players are kicking with a bunch of gear on and have to kick it over players that are 7 yards in front of them that are 6'5"-6'8" with their arms stretched up. Rugby players are kicking it with no one in front of them (a penalty kick) and no equipment on. NFL punters/kickers average about $2 million/year, with the top ones making $4 million/year. The highest paid player in Rugby Union doesn't come near that and that's compared to punters/kickers. Skill-position players in the NFL make 10x what a punter/kicker makes. So the obvious point is, if 67 yards was a chip shot for Rugby players, they'd be playing in the NFL making 20X what they're currently making but many have tried and can't make it.

all these defenses tried to come around the outsides..... if a tiny amount of middle push would have had a real good chance of getting a hand on some of these.... great kicks... terrible defense

1:50 'A career long kick.' HAHAHA yeah, all those H.S. years is some 'career'. LOL!!
@highground77667 ай бұрын
the definition of "career" is; an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress. I'd vouch that 4 years is a significant amount of time and that those kickers have opportunities for progress, for example, going to college or further. So yes career. Get a life
