Stuff that has helped me so far: 1) regular brushing (to stimulate the scalp+spread the natural oils) 2) using lukewarm water (if it's too warm my head turns oily almost immediately, if it's too cold my hair doesn't get properly cleaned) 3) head massages (just with the hands, getting really in there and massaging with light pressure until your head feels like a cloud. dunno why tbh but my hair seems to love that.) healthier food (sounds dumb but when I had to change what I eat because I was tryingt to lose weight my hair came out more healthy over time and I didn't need to cut it as much) 4) loosely braiding my hair when I go to sleep (my hair is down at my booty and if I leave it open I will constantly pull it on accident and I also roll on it which isn't good. a loose braid helps me to keep them safe in one place without it being uncomfortable or ripping half of them out in one movement) 5) reducing stress (probably an odd choice but this has helped me a lot. My hair tends to fall out in amounts like these little balls that roll over the street in cowboy movies when I am stressed and in general the health seems to take a deep dive. I'd generally say recuding stress as best as possible is one of the best things to feel better in a lot of ways.. skin,hair,mentally.. all the good things) Last mention: I am not saying if you do these you turn into Rapunzel but depending on how bad your habits were before it might improve something for you. It's also stuff you can just do and be mindful about, you don't need to spend a fortune. (except for the food maybe if you live in america. I've heard it's quite hard to get healthy food there for a normal price.)

Yes! This! But, also be careful because “loosing weight” and “growing hair” when it comes to food can be very contradicting to people who are restricting their diets (not about to call people out for EDs) eating enough healthy fats, carbohydrates and proteins is still very important for growing hair, so not restricting yourself is also important!

For years I’ve been growing out my hair and it was almost past my boobs 😂 which had been a goal of mine. Then I got out of a 4 year relationship and decided to get a big chop. Unfortunately the hairstylist decided to cut my hair 4 inches shorter than I wanted-chin length, not the shoulder length bob I wanted😭 She also gave me a slight bang (which I also didn’t ask for) and it looks like I have a bowl haircut. Worst part is one side is about an inch shorter than the rest! Long story long, I’m trying to grow it out fast! My confidence has been so low lately which isn’t good for healing through heartbreak but you journey has helped me a lot! Thanks for all you do!! Cut was in July and my hair is almost at the length I wanted.

Hi Anna hope you are doing great! I love this video these are some tips that I started off on. When I first started watching your videos I felt overwhelmed by so much information that I couldn't pin point what I needed to focus on. After watching all your videos I made notes to myself and saw recurring tips and that's how I figured out what I needed to focus on. This video goes straight to some of the really basic tips that I used to start my haircare journey ❤️😊

I have a question! So I do oil massages and I keep reading that we should brush our hair right after. I understand why but it tangles my hair like crazy and make washing it hard bc I always wash it over my bathtub... :( Is it really so damaging to brush it?

I feel like everyone is BLASTING their heat this year 😅 I have started putting heat protectant on my hair to protect the “outer shell” when it’s in a protective style ❤ so they don’t get brittle and break. I had a massive curl clump break off in the middle of my crown area and I believe it’s because of the heat 😢 It also smells better than any perfume I’ve ever used 😊

Can we use Argan Oil as a heat protectant?
@j6453
@j6453 Жыл бұрын
My problem is that I blow dry my hair with my twice-weekly wash (medium heat only). However, when I do scalp treatments, often a little oil is left on my hair as residue. This sometimes "fries" my strands, causing breakage when I blow dry. Do you have any suggestions for how to combat or avoid this? Some oil always seems to be left in the hair after shampooing, and I just don't know which ingredients are the offenders. As such, I get lots of little broken hairs along the top layers of hair so in the meantime I've avoided any scalp treatments containing oil (which they just about all do). Second problem I've had with some of these treatments is getting enough oil on the scalp without too much oily residue left on the hair itself. That greasy look just isn't pretty, and the application is very tricky to get just the right amount without too much left over afterwards, especially because I don't like to use stripping shampoos (too drying).

Have you tried washing your hair with conditioner first? Apparently conditioner helps to remove oil really well. I always wash according to the CWC method anyway. Wet hair, use conditioner, leave it in, then shampoo as usual and rinse (so both the shampoo and conditioner is being rinsed out), then do a mask or skip that part and use conditioner again 😊

are you shampooing twice? and sorry if this is a dumb question but are you shampooing properly? maybe you need to part your hair into sections and make sure you wash between the parts, spend more time lathering, and spend more time rinsing the shampoo out. Lots of people just plop a handfull of shampoo on the top of their head, rub it a little, and rinse it out poorly, then wonder what went wrong.

Hi Anna! I did not have enough self defense to stop this lady from giving me an organic keratin a month ago. Since then I have tried to wash it out so much and some waves are back but Im exhausted. Should I shave my head and start over or not wash often, wait a year and do a big chop? I would love your advice please🤍 I miss my natural hair

Not at all! I've enjoyed this length so much and I've had so much fun going through the growth process again. Although I'm excited to have long hair again, cutting it and experimenting more with layers has made me feel more relaxed with my hair overall, so I'm excited to switch it up more as it grows out :)

Wow Anna, your hair looks incredible! I'm wondering if you've tried diluted castile soap for your hair and then doing an ACV rinse after, I personally haven’t tried it but some people recommend it. What do you think about it?
@OrganicallyAnna
@OrganicallyAnna Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I've never used it on my hair but I've used it on my skin and I've found it to be a bit drying for me. It really depends on your skin and hair though so it's worth trying! I would just be careful w the acv, using it too frequently can make your hair feel dry and brittle, I wouldn't use it as a conditioner replacement

And seriously stop using drug store and salon products. When I was using those I had to wash my hair everyday because it would be so oily. I started using calia naturals and I can now go 3 days without washing, my hair never feels oily. Also I noticed thinning but once I started using calia naturals and the innate life rosemary oil the thinning has stopped and I've notice new growth and less shedding.
