I've been thinking about this. I've supported 4 foot tanks like this in the past with no issues, but they were just 55s so they aren't that tall. The glass on this thing is pretty thick though, so it will probably be fine because I do have the foam in the middle making the gaps less than two feet on both sides. I'm still looking into this further, but I'm probably going to change it because it worries me a little too lol

@@jacobgilles2392 I wish you luck! Mine unfortunately passed away. He injured his swim bladder/lung and couldn't take in any air. Of course he was still getting oxygen from his gills, but only in small amounts so he just couldn't make it :/ It was really unfortunate. In my years of fishkeeping, Longnose gar are one of the fish that I just have not had luck with. This one was my third attempt, and I don't think I'll get another until I have a truly massive tank (5000g+) and even then maybe not. They seem like a species that doesn't do well in captivity. At least when they're young. Personally I've only seen one raised to adulthood from a fingerling, and most of the ones I've seen that are doing well are large ones that have been wild caught at a larger size. Again though, that's just what I've noticed personally, so maybe you have seen something different. I'm not trying to bring you down.
