this game was my life when i was a kid lol, my most played game on xbox classic hands down. took me forever to beat though, i was super young at the time and a lot of the puzzles were challenging for someone of my age

I remember the beginning I have played part of this. My dad played this for many, many hours when I was a tiny kid. I remember watching him die hundreds of times. And a glitch that occurred where he got stuck in a death loop while going down a spiral staircase. This seemingly endless gameplay time in dungeons mixed with Harry Potter PC games caused me to have mixed dungeon crawler dreams/nightmares. Love Princess Daphne. Main bih

This needs to be remastered. DL 1&2, and space ace have been remastered and ported to every modern system. This one gets ignored.

I played this game on a dvd player with the remote. It was the mid 2000s. It was so good. The puzzles were so tough at that time. I had to keep notes of the arrow keys just to pass some quests.

I finally found this game!! I played this soo much when i was a kid.

I rented this game on GameCube from BlockBuster. So many memories.

So my dad (born in 1969) used to play the old dragons lair at the arcades. He wasn’t big into video games as an adult because he worked a lot. Anyway when I was about 8 or 9 years old we got this game for gamecube and for some reason my dad was obsessed with it and didn’t put the game down for like 2 weeks (when he got off work) and he finally made it to the dragons lair, thinking that was the last level. So he left it up to us, since then he never really touched video games to this day.

This game reminds me of the King's Quest series from the Play Station Store during the PS3/PS4 era.

Imagine taking this game back in time to 1983 and showing it to someone who had just played the original Dragon's Lair for the first time!

After beating the snes dragons lair on a phones touchscreen this game was a god send

I remember having the original PC version of the game. I still do to this day. Although sadly because Windows 10 doesn't like a component for the game (for security reasons) we can't play it anymore on the latest PC. Until Steam or GOG or someone could bypass it, i'm stuck with a Virtual machine.

it's all wrong! Daphne's speech is supposed to be stilted, with commas and periods in all the wrong spots! like "Please save me, the cage is locked. With a key! To slay the dragon. Use the magic sword!" but seriously, the game looks great, i wish i had played it back when gamecube was relevant. . .it's nothing like the piece of shit nes port

I love this game, i have the origonal version from the DVD release, i have it on android, gameboy color, and gamecube. Its really interesting when they try to rework the mechanics. Those are my favorite versions

Only game I know of that uses the "Y" button to jump. I'm surprised I managed to adjust to that control scheme. I had this game (probably still do, but I have no means of playing it) when I was young and I managed to beat it (the spiders creeped me out though)

That would be one hell of a party, one hell of a expensive, party. Then, there will be children, some one to inherit the kingdom. They will need to do things like, go to collage." Daphne: "But we can just tax more peasants." Dirk: "But look around, we don't have to. That much less need to tax them, and that much more wealth for us. I am getting this gold and thinking, my beautiful wife deserves a much better castle, a very expensive upgraded castle to protect her incase after I slay this dragon, he has a brother, or a sister, some one to avenge the family name after seeing just 1 mortal take on his entire army. Am I the only one who finds it a bit weird that you kill Singe, *the titular dragon of Dragon's Lair,* halfway through the game? I mean, I know *Mordroc* is the big, bad, final boss, but I kind of expected Singe to come immediately before as *the ultimate obstacle.* Not just in gameplay, but in story too. The intro cinematic establishes *Dirk isn't strong enough to take on Singe,* so logically, by the end, you should be using all the powers and skills you've acquired to best him. That way, the Mordroc fight at the end seems more like an amusing, last-ditch attempt at preventing Dirk and Daphne escaping. Clearly something has gone terribly wrong with your evil plan when, after all the monsters in the castle fail, *not even the fire-breathing dragon can kill one man.* It's a question of threat escalation and this game just undermines the old beast's reputation, y'know? Also, hear that *epic track for the fight!* One of my all-time favourites!

Got DL 1+2 and space ace but saw this and had to order it.

I just finished the game, the learning curve is long but it was fun and rewarding all along! Having all 100 treasures like I have grants you special rewards when you want to start a new game. I understand them all like smooth cell shading characters which looks marvelous I just can't wait! But I don't get the first reward called "Sword Time". I played an hour with that reward I didn't notice any difference from a normal game. Anyone know what it does?
