Star Fox Adventures gets a lot of flack for supposedly being a Zelda clone, but if you've actually played it I think you'd disagree with that statement. Whilst Star Fox has probably taken a lot of inspiration from the Zelda series, there are many differences allowing this game to feel unique. The previous upload of this game had a lot of comments from both camps giving their own constructive criticism to what they liked or didn't like about the game. I hope we can get comments like that going again. This upload is a massive improvement over the old one as it doesn't feature any audio desyncs and is now in widescreen 60fps. I'll be eager to read everybody's comments again on this video, as this game was a big part of my childhood. I never even knew about the original Star Fox games until many years later, so I thoroughly enjoyed this for what it was.

I want a sequal so bad. This game was the epitome of adventure for me when i was a kid. Very few games have given me the same feelings that this one did.

I remember getting this game as a birthday gift summer of 2004. One of my favorite childhood memories, after waking up & getting breakfast first thing I did was play this on the GameCube every morning.

This game has aged like fine wine. It was hated upon release because it wasn't Star Fox 64 2.

Finally! I get to see Star Fox Adventures! I use to play this all of the time and got stuck at the lightfoot village doing those tests when I was a kid!

It has been at least 15 years since I've heard and seen this game. This game was one of the first games I was able to figure out (I was almost 10 and surrounded by older siblings/cousins, IYKYK). This hit me hard with nostalgia. This game was beautiful, and by the looks of it, it still very much is. This game is underrated for the fact that some claim it doesn't stand well on its own. I don't know of any other video game that required you to get a pen to click the A button fast enough to beat that Alligator guy. This game changed the way I saw things at the time, and it was the first time my older sibling let us take turns progressing in the game. It's so cool to see it all over again. Thanks OP

The metroid prime remaster makes me want this game remastered now too, it was one of my favorite gc games if not my favorite.

Truly the pinnacle of the GameCube era. I remember being obsessed with this game as a child. Only flaw was it's combat, it felt sooo redundant even back then. The cut-out fight with Scales was a huge letdown too.

fun fact: the Nintendo64 version of Dinosaur Planet has recently been unearthed & released to the public... and is somewhat playable on N64 emulators!

Fun to see this game again after twenty years!! the hype was intense for this game with it originally being "Dinosaur Planet" before becoming a Star Fox game and the graphics were *gorgeous* for it's time!! even if it took some cues from Zelda, you've got to give Rare huge props for innovating and showing what a Star Fox game could be. Till this game, we've only ever seen the Star Fox crew fight Andross in space battles to save the Lylat System. It was so much fun seeing them more like the mercs they are and doing "smaller" missions on a single planet, with entirely new characters and species. Even if the ending was a bit lame with Andross being shoehorned in, the Falco Ex Machina, and not even having a proper fight against General Scales; it's honestly THE most refreshing and interesting game in this tiny series. Everyone's nostalgic over Star Fox 64 as a rightful classic, but this is arguably the much more interesting game. Kudos to Rareware for this underrated gem and hope the next entry in the Star Fox series is as innovative as this one

The GameCube was way ahead of its time with this game and many others can’t even start with the amount of great games that came with this console

This game was amazing, it was similar to Zelda but it had its own unique gameplay, the only thing is that its a starfox game and its in contrast to the typical combat of starfox games, but they were clever enough to make a lot of the "secondary items" into staff powers so your "sword" equivalent is also your shield and other inventory, they made the whole magic meter thing jive, and even the partner role with tricky thru this WHOLE game was less annoying than having to cart Medli and Makar around for the last 2 dungeons of Wind Waker.

In my opinion this was a good game. It wasn't Starfox but it was still fun.

When I was a kid i played this game for years. It took me a lot to finish It because it was in english and I did not know shit. It brings back the memories of the good old days. Hope one day we get a sequel.

I still have this game. It was a shock when this was new, after playing Star Fox 64. Clearly it is inspired by Zelda. I really wish Krystal (my favorite in the series besides Falco) had a much bigger role. The sad truth about Star Fox Adventures though is this game is the FINAL Rareware title (only one on Gamecube) and it's also rushed.

Unpopular opinion but this IS the best Star Fox game, regardless of its differences with the regular SF formula.

It being a Zelda clone is one of the reasons why I love it.

I admire Fox’s stubborn and serious personality since he doesn’t clown around. The natural environment in this game is so beautiful and so are the caverns and waterfalls. Watch out for enemies, Fox and Tricky.

I think the saddest part about this game is that I feel like Rare could have had a hit series if they had kept it as an original IP :( They got bought by Microsoft the day after this game released, and that basically killed the idea of a sequel ever happening. Dinosaur Planet was forever changed to be a Starfox game. The franchise remained Nintendo’s.

When I was younger (I'm 40) We heard Rareware was working on a game called Dinosaur Planet, and Rare was the main reason to have a Nintendo 64 or a Cube they mastered the development. We were waiting like crazy, since Rare was really good with the genre - nothing like copy-cat Zelda or anything, they were 400% original in everything they touched. From Goldeneye to Jet Force Gemini or Conquer. When they changed it to be a Star Fox universe, instead of disappointment or anything like that, we had nerdgasms of scatological proportions. Not only RARE was about to do a Star Fox game, but we would see him once again, since we hold him to the heart due revolutionary Snes. We had the notion not many Sci-fi games do, that tribesmen or whatever non tech species can be part of a sci-fi story. It was like having the best of all worlds. What a dream the game was.

I so miss those days...

Something organic was implemented into the orchestral pieces in this world that hits different than every other Star Fox, game, which is what makes it feel so much more special; it was _different._
