just by watching this video you'd have no idea that this guy also builds lasers that could permanently blind you by looking at the spot on the wall and electronics that could kill you thousands of times over and still have power to spare. anyways nice looking moth.

It's considered a good omen when a Luna Moth visits you. Where I'm from Luna Moth's live for a very short time and some don't even make it out of the cocoon. So it's considered that if a Luna Moth chooses to spend time with you it chose to spend most of its life with you, its a blessing.

She was so big that the flowers shook when she was walking on them! So sad they only live for a few days. I don’t think she could fly, I never touched her wings but she didn’t attempt to take off. @@plebulus4355 yeah but growing up, people associates mouths with biting, and biting with pain. We have those all over Oklahoma. It can be pretty sad, you initially see them flying around at night energetically and having these beautiful wings. Then not too long later they're all barely still hanging on, crawling around on the ground with chips ands pieces out of their wings. It's hard to watch them starve to death like that. They don't have mouths though so that's just the cycle they go through as a species.

You kinda forgot to mention that they only have a lifespan of normally less than a week in their moth form. I feel like that was a key detail that was missed. Love your vids!

If the adult moth never feeds, that means the adult stage is dedicated to mating and breeding until death. So, it isnt your pet, you are practically married as far as it is concerned.

I have a crippling phobia of wasps, and that's sort of spilled out into a not-quite-phobia of most other insects. Butterflies and moths are the exception. They're just too pretty for my brain to irrationally hate, especially luna moths.
