Honestly. It's been 6 years and I still think about him all the time. It was the first time reality hit me that merit isn't quite a real concept, sometimes you don't always get what you deserve. I was 15 at the time seeing this guy put everything in, immense work rate, great movement with his clever cheeky runs, and great finishing too. I was so happy we signed him because I was a barcelona fan too and remember when lucas perez cooked against us. So when I saw we signed him I couldn't wait to see him play. When he then moved to west ham I was happy because I expected him to shine there but for some reason he rarely played there too, despite playing phenomenal in every game I saw him come on in, I remember he once scored a brace to drag them out of a shit performance. It still hurts to think about, He could've been so good.

he's being treated like Joel Campbell was when he was around. No game time unless its EFL cup games or we are wiped out with injuries in midfield. Wenger just doesnt rate some of his good players at all even though they show more quality than the ones he favours like Walcott and Ox. Can you imagine how far perez will be in the pecking order when Walcott and Carzola returns? he will have Walcott, Ramsey, Ox, Welbz, Iwobi ahead of him even when they underperform. thats wenger for you.

I for the life of me will never understand why he never got more run under Wenger. He has the technical ability, speed and service quality to play on either wing. Solid weak foot, and a very under rated left foot. He possesses quite a big of skill and technical ability and is far quicker than many think. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him get a ton of run under Unai Emery. He fits exactly what he wants from a winger and we need one and this would be by far the best and cheapest option. I'd play him in the right side. Would love to see him given a chance in this formation: Aubameyang Mkhy-Ozil- Perez Torreira, Xhaka/New CDM Monreal, Sokratis, Kosc, Lichtensteiner Leno That's a front 3/4 that can really press and get after it. Torreira is a very solid ball winner and regista from the deep midfield and Xhaka could flourish in a system where he is asked to do less. Also think our back line line more grit and leadership worth the likes of Sokratis and Lichtensteiner in there.

For me Lucas Perez is highly underrated he has skill speed could pass the football brilliantly clearly understands the game you could see from these clips that he has a very good footballing brain really slotted into Arsenal's style of play after a few appearances so he good has slot of potential to be great just wasn't given the opportunity.

I think Lucas is still in the "settling in" phase. Wenger should give him more regular appearances in the starting lineup. I think he could become a fantastic player for Arsenal
