Awesome video. Really cool mini. I think the tendency is for people to make winter elves all pale but I like the choice to go with red hues turned up to 11. Also... you do this for a living. You gotta do what you need to do for to make the dough. And you haven't ever really gone for clickbaity titles or thumbnails so I'd say you've earned the right to plug the hell out of your stuff. Hope the kickstarter is a big success for you. I'm excited for my coffin and I'll probably add on the STL files.

I would say definitely don't feel bad about talking about your projects. Scott you put a lot of work into the things you do and always come away teaching/learning something. With that said I love that you did a revisit and picked a winter scheme! One of the things that inspired me when wood elves was using the seasons as color pallet.

Sometimes you seem to get stuck in a rut with your mini painting but this showed that you can go outside f your normal routine for new color schemes. I think you did a phenomenal job in the blue tones with this mini.

The coelia greenshade is one of my favourite GW paints - and I almost exclusively use it to glaze metallic paints for TMM :D It was neat to see it applied by someone else :D

I thought I was being weird to use Molotov chrome markers that way--it's nice to get the reassurance of seeing your expert touch with it! I happily succumbed to the Kickstarter. There are some shiny elves in my future.

Besides, your not doing the Kickstarter to get rich, you're doing it to create awesome minis, and that shines through. As someone who based his Malifaux crew in snowy base, I could recommend fluo white from S75 for the mix (which is pretty damn pearly for some reason) which gives a nice, iridescent sheen on the snow

Spring where I live you get the wild bright greens. Brighter lighter greens. Softer colors. And everything is wet from constant rains. Summer those greens go darker and stuff dries up. And the woods get overgrown with loads of weeds and flowers you don't see any other time. So some of this, besides a color shift, would also be a out some of the basing.

Hi I know this is random but I'm going through a bad part of my life and my health isn't so good and I just wanted to say thanks for the years of teachings. It means a lot to me and I wouldn't have painted anything if it wasn't for you. You were the first artist I found and learned from. Then I found John through you, Kenny Booshay, Sam and the rest. 3:58 That is more of a turquoise than a teal. People (including myself) tend to mix them up. Basically they are both blue-green, but turquoise is lighter and thus paint wise has more white in it (like the color of the hear). It doesn't help that paint companies keep mixing them up as well. Both beautiful colors though. Forgive my "uhm, actually.." post. Just a personal nitpick than anything else.

Adding the roseness and flush to the skin was a good idea. But perhaps have the hands and legs a bit more cold and pale as the extremities Don't flush with blood as much. Dumb criticism i know. But it's a awesome job that you've done

if you make a $1 pledge, you can can add whatever you want later during the pledge manager after the campaign! The reason KS doesn't let you add them as an addon, is because the "toast" tier is virtual. Because your pledge is virtual, you can only add virtual add-ons.

Dear Miniac, "Inhaled substances may cause injury in pulmonary epithelium at various levels of respiratory tract, leading from simple symptoms to severe disease. Acute inhalation injury (AII) is not uncommon condition." Please, please practice safe painting, wear your mask, and use a fume removal system, it only takes a few minutes.
