This is like that scene in Back to the Future when Marty McFly goes back to the 50's and after his performance tells the kids they aren't ready for it yet....same could be said here and this was real.....this lot simply were not ready for the MC5.

I was at this concert at Wayne State. Following the bands, most of the crowd walked to Lafayette Park and started causing trouble. The cops came in riot gear. I went to the bus stop! :)
@DaveAnchovies2 жыл бұрын
who else played? hopefully nobody had to follow this...id break up my band and break something if i saw this, too. never seen a more commanding performance and that includes early 70s uk heavy bands...who seem lazy after this. plus, the crowd is so close...and people are into it. this is the best track, other video has 3 and they played a few others. undoubtedly their best song...all versions, though nothing tops this. Sinclair got them tailed, but they werent a political band...they wanted sex, drugs via rock and roll

Maybe. Play it fucking loud! Wayne Kramer is off his tits and searching for feedback! Way to rape a Mosrite. I'm going to die soon and this will be played at my wake (fucking loud!). Along with the Minuitmen of course!

Its unreal that in the same year as this bands like Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer were still banging out prog rock. This must have been such an exciting time. I was 3. Like when "smells like teen spirit" came out. Everyone just sat up and went "Jesus - what was that?!" This band was awesome.

It goes up yr spine and thru yr neck and into yr head and you just feel naturally stoned OUT. Im serious! Its beyond the beyonds. Heavy as hell and at the same time sensual and sweet little lyrics. Im a chick ...maybe Im the only one who thinks about these kinda things...? Ill always love this band dearly. Beautiful. Thank you. Peace~"Jen"
