yes! My mom and I looked at 2 apartments last week. Super fun but super stressful! We thought we found "the one" but someone got their application in before us so we didn't get it 🤷‍♀the hunt continues...

literally the FIRST apartment y'all looked at was perfect. so big and spacious, lots of storage, updated af and had the best lighting!!! can't wait to see the other places you tour! i'm sure you'll find something amazing :)

You definitely have to use acetone! You don't need anything else either, just soak them in acetone and they'll come right off

I have to say the first apartment has everything you could want Tara!! The workspace, the swimming pool, underneath lighting on the counter tops, and even a freaking pool table. Are you kidding me? 😛

i like the first apartment, but i think it’s veryyy similar to the TO apartment you had. idk if that’s something you want or if you want something “new” to match the “new you”. apartment # 3 is unique and “new” like you can tell in your voice the excitement. imo! but like you said expensive for not being there a lot of time out of the year.

Lol when the leasing lady said that the model furniture is from like west elm and cb2 so nothing fancy and I’m like that is fancy at least forsure west elm😂? I would consider ikea not fancy haha

Soak each nail with cotton squad in acetone and cover the cotton with individual pieces of foil! I swear this works they should melt away in like 10 min!! Hope this helps xo

Soak your nails in 100% acetone (15-30mins) cover the bowl and your hands with a towel, helps with the break down of the product. Best if you have a metal cuticle pusher to scrape of the goop that it turns into after you let it soak. If you don’t have a cuticle pusher use a nail file and buff of what you can!.

Idk if you have one from any New York trips or like your local metro, but a metro card is PERFECT for popping them off. They use them at the salons in New York and it’s the best hack

Just get some acetone, rip up a cotton ball. Dip it in the acetone, lay it on ur nail and wrap the tip in aluminum foil for like 10-15 mins File down some of the polish first before doing this !! Love the apartment hunting ! Good luck ❤️

Number 3 first apartment complexwas my favorite for you because it has everything you’re looking for (your bed fits, it’s bright, huge closet and has your balcony) I loved number 1 but didn’t see a balcony

I totally agree with you with the first apartment. Unit 1 I like the most because it’s big, spacious, and the big closet. It’s perfect for a tall guy like Simon for sure. I love how in the apartment lobby there is a work from home space. You can interact with people and get some video editing done.

You’ve probably removed them already haha but for the future i wear gel x nails and you just have to file off the top layer or polish/ gel & soak them in acetone. i love them and found that they’re actually super kind to my natural nails underneath!! way better than acrylic imo

I’d say Apartment building #1, unit 3 (or 4), for sure. It seemed like it had literally everything you’d want: -natural lighting -spacious master bedroom -white marble kitchen -white marble bathroom -balcony (also, mind you- similar to your old apartment’s one in Canada) -Storage closet space (just enough for what you’d need) -tons of cool public spaces inside the building to provide for variety of workspace, ability to grab a quick cocktail drink, a pool, large outdoor space, and tons of natural lighting and some plant life. I’m excited to see what you end up choosing. I’m 100% sure it’ll be spectacular whatever it is. Oh and I forgot to mention: you and I are in a similar situation, in a parallel way. I’m not nearly as successful but I live in a large home that has many complex emotions attached to it, and it’s a place I came back to only temporarily. I’m currently switching to an apartment and oh my goodness…it’s crazy. lol. I guess a lot of us are in that same boat, moving and switching lifestyles up.

Yes, I am moving apartment (and must be all done and completely moved to the new apartment ) by April 1st !!! Very excited and very stressful at the same time especially doing it alone, all by myself ! I am packing up daily, de-clutter and donate. The movers will showed up 3 days before April, so I am a very busy bee these 2 weeks ! Wish me LUCK in this move and a new chapter in life !

These units are alllll stunning in the first building that you toured. Not me wanting to find this building so I can rent it out and live there. I keep hearing "you can see the hollywood sign from here," which has me in a chokehold. Soooo lovely.

The third one in the first building was nice it had a walk in shower (think was first) wouldn’t it be more economical to rent for just the time your in LA but then you’d have to pay for storage groan. Thanks for showing us this so enjoyed it.

Wow the apartments are beautiful! As other comments have said but as someone who works as a leasing professional.. 2 months off seems super nice but once your lease ends your rate will go up a lot!! Obv depending on if u wanna stay after ur lease term. They basically they just divide the amount you are saving over your entire lease terms so you save a lot over the first 12-14 months but….. once it comes time to renew you get hit with an increase based on what the actual price is of your apartment which isn’t nice lol!

If you havent already taken off the GelX by now.. one layer of paper towel in a ziploc bag with a tablespoon of acetone in the same bag(don't get paper towel too wet). Hot bowl of water. Put your hand in the ziploc while it's slightly submerged in the bowl(just enough for the acetone to get warm), dont touch the acetone while its hot, the steam from it will help loosen the gel. Use the paper towel to sorta rub off the gel. This has also helped me w acrylic nails :D

The only way to remove gel X nails is with acetone. File the top layer of polish off, soak a cotton ball/pad with acetone and place on nails, wrap fingers in foil, and wait half an hour. It’s long but it’s the safest way without ripping your nails to shreds ♥️

I never realized how important lighting was to me until I lived in a basement apartment for 3 years with only three small windows. Now, any apartment I look at, my most important thing on the checklist is " Lots of windows/or east - west facing windows". I feel like a plant! this video was fun to watch!

I’m a bit biased with that unit with the HUGEEEEEE balcony! TARA!!! Bring all your outdoor furniture and get a nice lay-out tanning chair! So perfect for you and you could even work outside when you’re there

For gel-x if they are too long and you don’t have time to remove at home you can cut them/file them down to shorter nails.

So, I always take my nails off at home. Have Simon take some dental floss and keep moving it left and right until it starts to get under the fake nail. if you keep doing that movement and slightly pulling down, it will peel the nails up with no damage because of the wax on the floss :) the movement is two hands, left to right and repeat.

Yeah it’s definitely the acetone that gets them off and not all of that other cr*p! I use cotton pads, soak them in the acetone and then place them on your nails and wrap with tinfoil for 5/10 minutes, you can then use floss to just slide them off!
