Thank you all for your amazing help with shells and fish/shark IDs! After so many people weighed in, I'm thinking the sharks are bull sharks and the skull is a drum or black drum fish skull. I mean it when I say you never know what's going to be out there!

Dear Sharmon, What a wonderful morning at the beach! Seeing those 3 sharks so close to the shore was amazing! I'm so glad that lady told you about them, so you and we could enjoy the sight of them. That little hermit crab was so cute! He really took advantage of you while picking him up. And the shells..... all those paper figs, you've got to love them. 😍 It's always so much fun to see how the shells clean up after you treated them. I had little hope for that true tulip, but it turned out amazing well! Sending you lots of love and, of course, a big hug, xoxo ❤, Ilona

I missed another true tulip that looked like it had some good promise - oh well! I was actually quite surprised that the shell piles weren't bigger. I am always surprised at what I find. Good evening, dear Beach Angel and all my beach-loving friends! I hope you've had a great week! Here in the mountains of East Tennessee, we're expecting six to eight inches of snow and temps approaching the sibgle digits over the next few days. Brrr! 🥶 Wow! Y'all did get clobbered! I was watching the weather and observed that the wind was pushing water on shore. Hope you remembered that sea horses get pushed way up the beach! Those sharks are so cool! When I was training to be a lifeguard, nearly fifty years ago, we were taught to punch a shark to discourage them. Their skin feels like sandpaper! Fortunately, I never had to do that! You're finding really pretty shells, big ones, too! I'm so happy for you! Oh, Beach Time! I wait all week for the waves which soothe my nerves and whisper their secrets to me. That looks like a gator to me! So glad you made a good haul today, Beach Angel! Those shells really cleaned up well. This always reminds me to clean my shell collection! Much live to all of you! Be blessed as you move forward with your lives. ❤🐚🧜🌹

We just flew into Fort Myers for a spontaneous 2 day vacation - on Saturday we drove by Ft Myers beach, but it was so crowded and traffic was so bad we didn't even bother stopping. We did stop and lucked out on a place to park a bit further south where the crowds had thinned out a bit. We had no idea that Florida's west coast was so good for finding shells. I could not believe my eyes with what we were finding... I was raised in New Jersey and we did occasional trips to the "Jersey shore" - but the only nice shells I ever saw were in the tourist shops - LOL. Only now after our return home to NYS did we find out about the shell "hot spots" on the SWF coast. We're already planning our return for a few weekdays to hit up Sanibel and Captiva. Oh, and as a newbe, the FFC is my favorite.

The traffic getting on the island last Saturday was brutal! We saw how bad it was around noon and we were thankful we had already finished out time on the island. I'm very glad you ended up finding some great beaches though. I'm with you - I grew up on NJ beaches so even an "empty" beach here has lots of great shells!

I just love being with you on the beach. 🏝️ I do really appreciate the Florida Fighting Conch’s too (even if they are “rookie shells,”) but I also love moon snails 🐌. I like tulip shells 🐚 and those cut ribbed arks are neat. I sort of liked that moon snail clustered with all those barnacles. It gave an interesting look to it. It must have taken you a while to pop em all off. The Acid really does the trick in the end. Can’t go wrong with it. Happy shelling!

You've given me a desire to take a beach trip just to look for shells! I've been listening to you and I'm beginning to remember some of the names. I'm 75, and would love to take a trip down to western Florida to look for shells. They're so pretty!! Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and sharing with us what you've learned 😊❤

Leaving Naples, FL tomorrow after a few grey days of shelling. I heard your voice in my head as we went lol! My daughter and I are OBSESSED with Florida Fighting Conchs, and over 3 trips to the beach, we collected...wait for it...75 of them (We put at least twice as many live ones back into the water at low tide). TSA is going to wonder why I have ten Tupperwares of shells in my carry-on bag, for sure. LOVE your new video features of showing the day's haul all at once at the end, as well as the clean-up before & after. Thanks for all you do.

Thank you Sharmon, I always enjoy your beach walks, I have collected shells since I was a child being raised in NE Florida. Having been up here, you know that you have a much greater variety than we do. But, shelling after a big North Eastern storm is glorious, so I have a good idea how you feel today.

Sharmon I look so forward to you every sunday. Your voice calms me. I think you have become my therapy although I do love the beach and those shells. Last time I was on Sanabel was Sept and I gotta say it looks better everyday. Never saw sharks down there before. That was awesome! Not a bad day of shelling! As I always say "wish I were there." Hope you have a great week!

I am going to dig more into this whole "therapy" thing. A lot of people tell me I calm them and I am a HUGE believer in therapy so if I can find any other tips and tricks I'm going to include those as well in my videos. I live my life with intention and I'm a pretty happy person if I do say so myself. Maybe I can help people beyond just a 30 minute video. Well...at least I can try! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.

I fell in love with the fighting conchs on my first trip to Marco Island. Also love the pinks/reds calicoes. I retire the first week of April and am planning 2+ weeks trip there late April. Need to download tide schedule and get my dates set. I love your videos bc I feel like I’m there. Thank you!!!

I LOVE all FFCs because it is not something I can really find where I shell (well, I did find 1 and I nearly fainted)! So, too soon to have favs, but I do love the juveniles, the very spiky with the pointiest spires, and the knobless! I think that pretty much covers all of them! If I lived on the west coast, I would have a real problem!! Thanks for another great video--I was delighted when I realized this evening that it was Sunday (I'm also retired)!

My most exciting thing swimming in the water there was a Manatee which was out just a little farther out than the sharks. First close encounter with a sea cow. Did not touch it but watched the heck out of it.

That is exactly how it's done. Just watch and don't touch. I've had one swim right past me a few times. It's so thrilling to see them "out in the wild" and not at Sea World!
