I have this placement in my natal chart. I am sitting in my second Saturn return. I could write for hours how this placement has played out in my life, along with how it has taken years for my Jupiter in Gemini to concede and listen to Grandma Saturn lol. The part that spark my interest in the video is ‘what is Saturn asking for’ … 9th house Saturn, 12 house Jupiter… I can feel it, but to give it words is a challenge…. Funny that huh lol

An example I just seen of this explaination of when you said saturn needs to see death and decay and I just seen a video of someone digging up logs they had buried for 6 year in dirt to show how it broke down and decomposed and some turned like a sponge and he could squeeze water out of parts of it while some broke apart and turned like dust some had some fungi growth...etc.. I know it is a wierd explaination but since your wife deals with plants I thought it would be interesting.

I have this transit natally (by degree and minute), it’s not easy but personally speaking, once you figure out and work on the Saturn, the Jupiter stuff frees up and gives you a lot more and it’s meaningful, not excess pleasure or whatever.

Oh my Gosh, this is so good to hear! Gemini is my 12th house and I have SO much going on and really feel like I can’t see where things are going or just spinning my wheels. Not too abstract. Saturn in my first house and I’m visiting family due to a death- he is a Gemini sun. Going back to my home and roots- but asking for what I need to maintain my strength and emotional wellbeing- from a family that doesn’t see eye to eye with me. So, a Saturn return and a Jupiter return, which means I currently have to deal with work and family issues that are karmic and involve secrets, investigations and corruption. Listening to you talk about the Jupiter-Saturn square reminds me of something I’ve been meditating on in my own astrological practice: asking the question, why did Hellenic-period astrologers place Jupiter and Saturn in the same sect? What does that say about the nature of their relationship (in the most broad sense/independent of where they’re placed zodiacally)? Because if we know that planets in the same sect get along, or are on the same team so to speak, I can’t help but think that ancient astrologers of this tradition were communicating some greater wisdom about the ways Jupiter and Saturn relate, and how they balance and complement each other. Different from the dynamic between planets whose signs are opposition (altho obvi Mars + Venus are interesting for this reason since they’re of the same sect). Idk. But I say this because every time I listen to you, more and more seems to click in place for me about how Jupiter and Saturn might complement each other. Or help each other. As a baby astrologer, I saw them at odds, but hearing from teachers/mentors like you has helped me better connect to the essence of these planets. I see them as ‘beings,’ so I can’t thank you enough for gifting us the ability that relate to every planet in a profound way. Cheers!

Excellent talk, Adam, even though you are still under the weather. Saturn is in my 1H, Jupiter will move into my (whole sign) 4H, so your wisdom has given me a new perspective of my reading on the square. (

One topic that’s already come up would be that, in the system I’m studying, chakras are associated with planets in the order of moon at the base of the spine to Saturn at the crown. It can be reversed and in different orders, but in the west it’s usually that order. It finally clicked with the courses on elementals that Saturn is associated with Gnosticism which is a form of intuition, it’s not intellectual. Sun being contrary, it’s associated with empiricism. One example of reversal would be what people say about westerners visiting foreign countries. (Hint: in the west, mars tends to be associated with the throat chakra instead of Venus). Makes sense, what annoys me about a Saturn/neptune square natal is it makes me actually look into details and lay it out empirically in detail instead of just being all “nope”..
