Looking inside JBL LIVE650btnc Bluetooth Headphones (TEARDOWN)

This video explains how to take a look inside of the JBl LIVE650btnc wireless Bluetooth, noice cancelling headphones.
We will check out the battery, all the PCBs, how it is assembled and how to take it apart. Afterwards it is still fully functional also.
In case you plan on replacing the battery, this video will be able to assist here, too.

Thank you so much for that tear down. I have Live 550BT and had some piece flying inside my right cup everytime I made a move and it was extremely frustrating. Thanks to you I was able to disassemble it (despite little differences) and get rid of whatever was rumbling in there

Thank you. I have just repaired my daughter's headphones and was having real trouble trying to get into them. The little plastic clips had sheared off (I think she sat on them) and in doing so had snapped one half of a SMD capacitor off of the PCB. Thanks to you, all is now resoldered and the headphones are working again. Cheers, much appreciated.

Thanks, I was able to fix my headphones because of this video. It has dropped to the ground, and the cup got loose (with the wiring broken). I was able to open it and solder the wiring correctly because of your zoom on 5:04. Really appreciate it man. Thank you.

Hey bro I have the same issue only the right earcup works and the left one does not play sound and is loose, what did you do to fix that?

Great Vid. I was able to get into my 400bt and reposition the play/pause button which slipped out of position. Thanks to your video

Thank you so much! One of the clips at 7:15 had broken off and was bouncing around in the headset making me go insane, but managed to disassemble it and get it out with no issues thanks to you ^^

Thank you for this comment! It turns out that one of my clips of my that were used to hold the cups in place were snapped off and also made this really annoying rattling sound. I was able to avoid the entire hassle of opening up my JBL 660NC Live by taking a strip of paper, fold it up a few times and crammed it into the crease of where the clip came loose. This holds the clip in place and now the rattle is gone.

This is what I needed to know about how to fix my JBL LIVE 650BTNC because I'm having problems with Bluetooth it was easy to replace the ear cups, so now I can fix my headphones finally

At 5:24 the pad is still on, at 5:26 it is off. It would have been nice to see how to get it off and how it is held on.

Hello there. Amazing video. I have a pair of JBL live 650btnc and I'm facing a problem that idk if you can be of help. So a wired connection via the aux cable sound comes from both drivers but without the aux when powering it on sound only comes from the left driver and on the right you hear sound from a far. So tried hard reset thinking it's stuck on mono audio but nothing is happening. So can you be of help?

Stuck at the end as well trying to get to the two contacts as my left earphone is intermittent sound .seems to be stuck hard and don't want to risk damage trying to force in a knife blade or fathead screwdriver.

Hi mate great video, I have a problem with mine, but the problem is that has disamble one side from the one where are all the buttons.t has two round hooks, but I don't know how to fit both at the same time. I don't want to use too much force to see if I'm going to break them. Could I send you a photo to some email of my problem?

I bought these Live 650 four months ago. Very happy with them until today, when they went dead --ie not charging. I checked charged cable (OK) so it seems battery is dead; is this normal?

i got some jbl live 500bt ones. had them for a little over a year, but it just won't turn on anymore. red light won't turn on when i plug it in as well. at least i can still use it in wired mode.

Sorry if im late but probley the ping of pings in the 3.5mm Jack is on the wrong place so try with the 3.5 swiffle around that will probely fix it

I have looked through your videos for a fix for my JBL LIVE650BTNC headphones where one side does not work but you don't have one. I found the following video with the fix I need but it's not the same model kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oN6GpMmptrjSgGQ.html. Can you please help me? Thank you in advance.

Hi, the LIVE650 unfortunately doesn’t have the same design. It is possible that one of the solder joints of the wires to the driver went bad. But that is hard to tell. Are you able to open up your headphones to inspect them?

@@MegaSafetyFirst I have the same problem, the headphones were unfortunately water damaged due to heavy rain. after some ghetto hair dryer treatment they worked fine but then when I charged them again the ear with the audio jack stopped working, on the next charge they both stopped working. the thing is they both work completely fine when used with the audio jack. and at the same time the headphones connect to Bluetooth when opened and the battery seems to work fine. i took them to a repair guy friend of mine today but we could only solve one ear (the one with the battery). what we did is clean some oxidation from some components but we only opened the right ear. do you have a clue why that is and how to fix it. TLDR: water damaged 650BTNC right ear doesn't work when powered but both work fine when using jack
