They don’t kill mould directly, but by reducing the humidity and water content in the air and room, will indirectly kill mould. But you need a strong dehumidifier and need to run it almost daily. Good video!

Great info. As a roofing contractor, I go into a lot of homes with mold infestation...because the owners did not take action when they should have. Here in Austin we have high humidity and everyone has an ac unit that does not run 24-7 - which probably caused mold in ducts. Have you had success with Concrobium or the higher strength vinegar? My original intention for this humidifier was to use it for plants that require high moisture levels. After using it in my room, kzfaq.infoUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj however, I think that's where it is going to stay in the fall and winter season at least. The increased humidity in my room made the room warmer and more comfortable. I had first ran the humidifier for 4 hours with the timer setting for it. After the first hour, I checked my room and can feel the difference. When the full 4 hours was up, I checked again and noticed that the humidifier was shut off as it is suppose to. The moisture level never seem to get passed 56/57%. I then let it run until all the water is used up, which it wasn't all used up. There are still some left in the base that you are not suppose to add water to. I filled up the water tank all the way again, being careful when removing it from the base. Some left over water may spill out. After putting it back on and setting the unit to auto, I let it operate. It didn't stop running, rather I don't know if it did at any point since I didn't check it regularly, for 24 hours after which the water in the tank ran out. The moisture reading never passed 56/57%, which may be a good thing for me. Being situated right next to my bed, the noise was not very noticeable with the occasional water gurgle from time to time as the unit ran.

During the winter with central heating and drying clothes inside then using a dehumidifier will help stop mould from growing

If you buy dehumifier with HEPA filter, it will capture mold and other harmful particles. Ozoning room is also option after drying to destroy mold. Basiclly you need to have humidity lower than 60%, then windows and walls have to have good enough heat isolation to not cause condensation on walls and windows. Thin isolated windows will get condensate when colder weather outside will be present. Overtime mold will grow arround windows damp, wet areas. Also. Why we should thumbs up your video before watching?

No, if there is already mold it can destroy it but very difficulty, you should spray the mold with bleach and wipe off and then get the dehumidifier. If there isnt mould yet then get one because mold forms from gumid air

Its almost impossible to get 0% relative humidity, you are alright with 40 - 60% RH..

TCL makes a more effiecient and half cost one that size. Only downside is 50 Litres instead of 70 but thats no big problem.
