I will always have a soft-spot for Battlefield 4 and Halo MCC (no matter how brutal it can be when you play a game with people who have mastered the skills over time!) *Because they both released in a broken state* but over time the two games were both polished off soooo well, that gamers have gone back to these older games after new games in the franchise have been released. 6 year old games for the win!

I dont think ppl are mad about the delay but rather for the fact that they said the game is even ahead of the schedule some time back. And now their saying we need more time witch can only mean one thing the game is in bad state... Essentially they kinda sorta lied to build up the hype.

I hated the cartoony gunplay of BF4 (but loved BF4 Gunmaster) and loved BF3 gunplay and maps.

Honestly, give me 4k res on Xbox and I'll be a really happy man till 2042 release 😅 I'm still play bf4 (and a bit of bf1) on daily basis on console and my "only" wish is: make 2042 like a remaster of bf3/4 or a "next gen" version of them and to me it's gonna be the Game I'll play for the next 2 years (... at least :P)

Honestly happy about the delay, I still love Bf4 and I use the gameplay in my reviews. I hope they take their time and get this game right! BF4 had so many issues at launch and later turned into a masterpiece IMO. EDIT - I was typing while watching and you pretty much just said the same shit I just did LOL. I love your videos so much!

While it's understandable that the delay happened, you and everyone else should absolutely not give them a pass. They fuck it up game after game and have no concept of communication with the market they plan to monetarily exploit for all it's worth. It's a problem that these CEOs or whoever continuously set dates for games and get people's hopes up and then either release a broken game or delay it. It annoys me seeing people just lay down and let daddy EA DICE do what he will

With the delay coming for 2042, the delay itself isn't really a red flag. It's everything DICE has said and done in the past and leading up to this, along with recently saying "we're ahead of schedule", a lack of ANY info on an open beta ETA, then the sudden delay. THAT is why it's raising such a big red flag: because it's exactly what we've come to expect and it shows nothing has changed since the BF4 launch fuck-up and in fact they've only gotten worse with the most recent BFV being one of the worst failures in gaming history. The fact of the matter here, is that this is par for the course for EA/DICE and everybody is expecting the typical disastrous launch that essentially helps define the BF franchise at this point. Until DICE gives us ANY reason to hold any faith in them, even giving them the benefit of a doubt would be overly generous when you consider their track record. Them using Covid as an excuse is just a convenience and an easy-out. They didn't have that excuse with BF4, 1, and 5 and look how those launches went...
