Hi Denise. Thanks so much for this amazing pattern. My questions are this. I would love to make a baby blanket for my granddaughter Willow. 1. Is it ok to use a 4 ply yarn on an afghan loom? 2. For making a blanket would I make the swatches and sew them together or is there any other way to do it without making separate swatches? Thanks so much. God bless.😊

Always love your patterns/videos! Decided to use this one for a baby blanket. I'm using a smaller guage loom (1/2 inch) & #5/bulky yarn (that honestly feels more like a 4). I finished one compete set of 20 rows but it's only about an inch long 😢 and I'm not getting the definition i see in your sample. Should I use the eknit stitch instead of the flat and u knit?

This is Beautiful! If I was trying to do this for a blanket, can you please guide me for the cast on and cast off you would recommend. PS - I’m so happy to hear that I can interchange flat and U!

For my swatch I did a eWrap cast-on so that I could tighten it later. The chain cast-on is also really nice. For the cast-off - I like the basic cast-off. Hope that helps !

Yes you can! You would have to switch your yarn when you reach the heart section.

Hi - this is a stitch pattern video and not a project video. I am starting at the beginning of the stitch. The beginning depends on the project, hats and blankets don’t start the same way.

Hi 🙂 the loom is a 5/8 large gauge and the yarn is Red Heart brand, medium #4 worsted weight.

As a beginner, I understand the confusion for you but this is the whole work. This is a stitch pattern and not a project pattern.

I’m confused the 2 extra pegs on each side are both always knit

The two extra purl stitches are not part of the stitch pattern. I added them on the left side of my swatch so that the fabric would look balanced. The pattern on the screens is the actual stitch pattern, only what you repeat.

This is a stitch pattern not a project. The stitch has a multiple of 15. I repeated those 15 stitches twice so that the fabric would look good for you guys.

I really like this pattern, and want to purchase, but am still confused. 1. Do you actually have a project with this stitch pattern I could purchase? 2. If you start a row and end a row with the 2 extra purls at each end... how do you see the lines that make the edge of each block. Example..if you want to make a blanket and I'm repeating the 15 peg pattern 4 times how, if you're not putting in a border between each of tge pattern repeats how do you see the edging on each square? I really used to enjoy your PROJECT videos from the past, now it seems you're only showing stitch patterns, so you have no idea how to start and finish a project. Another question...between each of the 15 peg stitch pattern, are you adding the 2 extra purls so that will create the border between each of the 15 pegs repeat of pattern?

The extra stitches are not part of the pattern. I added them to my swatch to balance the look of the fabric. The pattern on the screen is the stitch pattern repeats only.

This whole video is confusing I don't understand you have more than 15 stitches on your loom very confusing does the written pattern have everything from start to finish meaning cast on and everything because I don't understand this video I can't make heads or tails out of anything

This is a stitch pattern video and not a project video. A knitter usually doesn’t use the stitch pattern to decide the cast on - it’s the project that does. A hat and a blanket are not started the same way. To answer your question- there is no cast on or off in the written. You will never find that in STITCH pattern, mine or any other designer because we don’t know how you will be using the stitch.
