Күн бұрынThe third annual Loon Calling Contest by the National Loon Center took place on September 24 during the Crosslake Days Fall Festival.
The Loon Calling Contest is a celebration of the iconic sounds of the Northwoods. We had a great turn out this year and a tough competition! Hear the calls of the top three placements in the adult age group:
Third Place: Jerry Francis
Second Place: Mary Michels
First Place: Kelsey Soby
We were impressed with Kelsey's range of loon calls. Kesley won a pair of the special loon edition of Velaasa Raptor shoes!

I feel blessed every time I'm out paddling and hear on off in the distance or have one pop right up in front of me, 20 feet away! Well done callers!!!
