WHO ARE THEY? Where are they coming from? I think I might have missed something because LOONA appeared to me out of nowhere, people started commenting about them and I was so oblivious ! But this debut is definitely eye catching and really promising. For some reason I felt like they somehow re-introduced me to a type of girl group that I haven’t really been into lately, props to them! Also there is a really great energy and chemistry between the members I feel like. It seems like the MV put the focus on every girls which is quite difficult to do when you have that many members! Bottom line, I am quite intrigued and anticipative of what they will release in the future!

LOONA is a 12 member girl group which was introduced back in October 2016 and when the first member Heejin (Which you recognize from Mixnine) was also releasing her solo MV. And after that the other members are being released one by one throughout the entire 18 months worth of project. Every girl has their own color, animal, and theories that represent them. Every member has a story that connected to the other members and every girl except for one is in one of the three subunits. You should check out their discography because they have a fucc ton of songs and all of them are of high quality production value. Members (Listed from the first to last): 1. Heejin (LOONA 1/3) 2. Hyunjin (LOONA 1/3) 3. Haseul (LOONA 1/3) 4. Yeojin (-) 5. ViVi (LOONA 1/3) 6. Kim Lip (LOONA ODD EYE CIRCLE) 7. JinSoul (LOONA ODD EYE CIRCLE) 8. Choerry (LOONA ODD EYE CIRCLE) 9. Yves (LOONA yyxy) 10. Chuu (LOONA yyxy) 11. Go Won (LOONA yyxy) 12. Olivia Hye (LOONA yyxy) And three different subunits which I put besides their names. (Subunits also have albums)

Each solo song of all 12 members all comprise of different genres ranging all across the spectrum from edm to pop to ballad. Each subunit's concepts thread up the definition of the loonaverse and it's timeline on what people think of as a mobiud strip where each subunit may or may not interact and intersect within the timeline, all coming from very different styles. With all of these styles implemented, LOOΠ∆ has become EXTREMELY versatile, being able to almost acomplish anything thrown at them. This song is their Lead Single, not their official debut. Their title track and rest of the debut album is to come in their official debut concert 08.19.18. This is just to show the world what all 12 together can accomplish. This is just an appetizer of what's to come and who in the world knows what will come next? ;)

go won’s wig yeojin is actually part of the Loona 1/3 sub-unit she confirmed it herself (in an interview) that she's considered the "slash" in 1/3.

Basically how Loona works is starting from October 2016, the released a girl every month or every few months with her own solo, the girl you recognized from Mixnine was Heejin, the first ever member to be released. Over the time the project has been in operation, each girl is part of 3 sub units (except 1 girl who was too young to promote at the time) who were released also when the final girl of each unit was revealed, the units are Loona 1/3, Loona Odd Eye Circle and Loona yyxy. The members in reveal order are: Heejin Hyunjin Haseul Yeojin Vivi Kim Lip Jinsoul Choerry Yves Chuu Gowon Olivia Hye Loona is very complicated in terms of their storyline, and fun fact; this wasn't actually their proper debut, this was just a lead single meaning the debut will have more story related aspects and a different if not similar sound to Favorite ^_^

No N0 August 19 is concert Day Actually, we don't know Loona's Debut day. Beacause, blockberry entertaiment doesn't tell debut Day. Also, favOriTe is lead single

I think the MV is more on the simplistic side mainly because it's literally the first song/MV where all 12 girls are together, so it's supposed to show them singing and dancing as a complete LOONA instead on having you focus on the story aspect like most (if not all) of their other videos do. It's also their lead single so not an official debut yet, that one I imagine will have a story-driven MV like the others. Also you should most definitely check out their previous releases, they have songs with sounds like no other girl group in kpop, I think you would definitely enjoy a lot of them.

YEAASSSS LOONA!!! I don't want to repeat what others already wrote, so I just want to add that all of them are part of storyline, they're part of a world called Loonaverse and all of the girls are conected to each other. They also, all have a representative color and animal. Each of their 3 sub units have a different concept with different music genre.

I don't think the locations are representative of the girls, it's just where they filmed their MVs. Neither is the "superpowers", BBC never confirmed neither of them. But I agree with the forbidden fruits since it's a very big part of the storyline of YYXY ^^

Ahhhh, I am so glad you loved it! LOONA has been amazing to follow and I am glad to see the whole group get attention. Also, around 4:41 a pretty special moment happens. The three girls that are focused are the members of OEC and it is really cute to see them 3 get a mini group moment together.

What your seeing is the "Avengers" version. BBC basically Marvel cinematic universered this group, so it'll be best to start off with their Iron Man aka Heejin with Vivid and move on up from there to the other members and team ups.

i think the build up for Loona's debut has been good as it allowed you to get to know each member separately first without having 12 unknown faces to have to learn. although for me it's been a little too long and drawn out a process and i need to go back an familiarise myself with the last few members

The Solos of each member really help and it was release by every Month and every month for one member had a Loona TV focus so It's like we got to know each member in a month like what we called "era" for example "Heejin's era", It was a amazing thing to promote a 12 member girl group, BBC ent. did great effin job

If you think LOONA isn't bringing anything new to the industry, you're in for a real awakening. The instrumentals in many of their songs are pretty crazy leading to very different songs from the norm. Just in this song they cut the snare drum out of the second chorus. They also have brass instruments playing in the background at certain points and that's what I've noticed so far. This group's company is not afraid to experiment. They've been experimenting with concepts and instrumentals the whole time so that they won't ever be expected to just "stick with one concept or people will complain." They are literally changing the game.

Their concept is indeed new and quite possibly one of the most complicated but well thought lol but this music is, in my opinion , not "new". Hahaha honestly Loona has literally created a whole universe aka looniverse so it's gunna take a lot of time to figure it all out if you're interested enough. We're hoping during debut era they'll give us more direct explanations on shit but thankfully they confirm a lot of things already so it's not just a whole bunch or grounless theories.

You should definitely check out all there previous MVs (there is a playlist on their official channel 'loonatheworld' in the right watching order (some theories say the timeline is different than the realeasing order btw). Also maybe an unhelpful guide and as much theory videos as you can to understand the storyline.
