I was recently introduced to masking fluid, so your video is welcome. I'm hesitant to use it because it is expensive. I'm in Calgary. I like to shop locally, and I think some of the local art stores have it so I may try it - depending on my budget, of course! PS I love your color palette. Definitely reminds me of spring. I don't know about trying this on a big piece of watercolor paper. I make artist trading cards. Might try your technique on that first.

Just soap and water, and I use cheaper dollar store brushes that I have for crafts

I watched loid davidson in a tutorial who suggested to dip brush dish soap so masking fluid didn't ruin the brush & your paper

This is amazing! I will have to gove this a try over the weekend! 😊 I actually have some masking fluid on hand, however, when I used it before it sometimes tore off the top layer of the paper 🙁 Do you think it was because of the poor quality of the paper or my masking fluid? My paper is supposed to good quality so I don't know what caused the problem.

Thanks! Its hard to say for sure, my first thought would be too much masking fluid, it should be painted on thinly so you can just rub it off when you're ready.
