I'm 42 and honestly.. We never had enought money as teens to see every movie released that month from very good to amazing.. (90's voted best era for film by a landside from the critics) When the main countries turned to phones and phone tech.. How many more times can you write the same thing over and over.. They have nothing new to write about.. Hence when space travel started again... FILMS IN SPAAAAACE.. They ended up going in to the one genre that was always just messed around with... Superhero's and wow.. Didn't they do a number on real comic book fans to bring it to the big screen.. :( Now we are stale again... Everything has to be really real and death, dark and moodie and we have really gone away from light films, feel good films, 2hrs of action thrown at you without thinking films.. Every series.. The Witcher, GoT, The Boys, The Vikings and an endless dross of death death.. some sex and then back to more death.. Happy times. lololol

Hopefully too the massive fan base for LOTR might extend to J R R Tolkien's own personal love for the high Anglo Saxon period in the British Isles, for it here that he publicly admitted finding huge parts of inspiration for LOTR. Many terms are directly taken from Old English, such as "Orc" which was a Saxon word for the Norman invaders (who came from the South...) aswell as the term "Middle Earth", which was used to describe Britain and Europe during this time too. The fair Elvish folk to the West might have been reference to the Celtic kingdoms of Ireland, that Emerald Isle never touched by the Roman invasions and only partly attacked during the Norman era.

I do not care what people say but for me Lord of the Rings is the best epic I have ever seen. The film is an incredible works with a whole World being created. The attention to detail is incredible. This film my love took me to see every birthday of mine each December.Mine was the 15th and it showed normally on the 18th and we saw it in Imax 3D. Such is the love we have for this most incredible of works that we went out and bought the Bluray extended 3D versions and a 4K Bluray upscaler and now we revisit it regularly on our Sony Bravia 65" 3D 4K TV. Peter Jackson as far as I am concearned was wholey loyal to the book and with guidence from Sir Ian Mackellern and Sir Christopher Lee Peter did what generations of directors thought impossible and that was to bring this masterpiece to the big screen. Thankyou for the upload. into the West will be my piece of music to have my coffin carried as I too go on to distant shores.

When I see these videos of the lord of the rings I know how miserable and rough life we live in this world. I hope from the bottom of my heart to have a world that does worth it, a world where light only exists.

First read in 1969 while traveling. Still reading it from time to time. So classic! So transformative! 😌🥰. And I watch the trilogy at least a couple times per year. Enya’s music is a perfect magical fit.

Time passes so fast from the first season. I learned a lot from this movie, love, friendship, sacrifice, justice, happy, greed, blindness, peace.

LOTR and the Hobbit will always be immortalised for its epic fight scenes, characters, and its messages. That even the smallest of people, the everyday deeds, the love, courage and hope we share can keep the darkness at bay.. This movie will stay with me for the rest of my life. That is how you know if a movie is epic.. That it stands the test of time and watching it again feels like coming home.....

My Little Feet has walked the pathways of Hobbiton four times and I was so blessed to have my 60th Birthday Partay at The Green Dragon Inn with a night time tour in January 2022. I also flew to Wellington for all six premiers of the LOTR and The Hobbit movies. Just a little obsessed with Tolkien Peter Jackson and Weta Workshop - absolutely and on "one ring' was forged by the same jeweler in Middle Earth Nelson that made the origin. So many happy memories watching the movies and the songs too. Thank You Mellon for sharing this special tribute. Namaste Chris

This song reminds me of a beautiful true love I once had. There's not a day and night that goes by that I feel him in my soul. I close my eyes and feel the wind and imagine him wrapping his arms around me. Is hard to go on without him.
