Jesus is God. Very Jewish. Look at the messianic prophecies. There is no way the apostles knew all 300 and some, let alone the Pharisees at the time. Jesus is not the biggest deception. He is the one all the demons say is not God. Look at the Satanists. If Jesus was not God they would incorporate him. The best they could do was Sananda, and Maitreya. David Koresh led people away from Jesus and Jehovah. His spirit clearly taught him the Jesus of the bible was not God as he was. Please consider SALVATION for your daughter. Take this very seriously. @@bt-lt4os 1. You may have heard of PaRDeS - Pshat, Remez, Drash and Sod. Midrash is the third of these, Rabbi Tovia is referring to the simple Pshat, or meaning of the verse. And yes, in all Jewish Thought, Pshat comes 1st. So Rashi is not a liar. 2. Even if Rashi was wrong (and many of his contemporaries argued with his commentaries, many times) - Judaism does not consider him infallible. But if Matthew is conclusively wrong, then the entire house of cards comes down - and down it is.

What is wrong with some churches? 1. Tanakh and Quran both say God is one and Trinity is idol worship. 2. God forbids idol worship. 3. Praying to saints or Mary or Jesus who are creations instead of praying only to God who is the creator is idol worship in Judaism and Islam and in some Christian sects. 4. Jews and Muslims love Christians by explaining that the messiah in Tanakh is a human biological descendant of the messiah king David through the messiah king Solomon meaning the messiah is not God and not a Trinity with God. 5. Jews and Muslims love Christians by explaining that the messiah in the Quran is a human who did not descend from the messiah king David because a person who has no biological father inherits no tribe in Judaism. 6. Jews and Muslims love Christians by explaining that in Gospel of John 20:17 Jesus said he did not die on the cross meaning no one sacrificed him and he explains that he is a human and he is not God. 7. Jews and Muslims love Christians by explaining that not all Christians believe that Jesus is God or that Jesus is a Trinity with God.

@@bt-lt4os I explained already, in Point 1 above. I will elaborate again: In the Oral Tradition, there are multiple meanings behind every verse. "Pshat" means the simple explanation of the plain language. "Remez" means sign, "Drash" means exegesis, and "Sod" means secret, referring to Kabbalah, or mystical oral tradition. These three are unique methods, with specific rules, that are used to arrive at conclusions. Pshat comes 1st - every Talmudic commentator agrees - and any alternative commentary is supplementary, in the sense that it is coming to teach us a lesson, and that lesson is biblically inferred - but it doesn't override the plain meaning of the verse. Rashi quotes a Midrash - a work that specifically invoked teachings arrived at by the 3rd way, that of "Drash". Rashi can read Hebrew, and is aware of the Pshat, which is the same way that R' Tovia taught, but he chose to note this specific Midrash. It seems that you are desperate to portray Tovia as a liar or trickster. I suspect his irrefutable questions on Matthew have led to some cognitive dissonance on your behalf and you are seeking ways to quiet them. I'd urge you to just take a break, and come back tomorrow - live with the unpleasantness.

@@moringadestiny None of the prophecies in the Jewish bible about the messiah who inherits the tribe of David applies to Jesus because Jesus had no biological father. The only way a Jewish son can inherit a tribe in Judaism today and 2000 years ago in the time of Jesus and 3300 years ago in the time of Moses is through your biological father. . Jesus is Jewish because his mother is Jewish however Jesus inherits no tribe because Jesus has no biological father which is the only way tribe is inherited by a Jewish son. . A Jewish son cannot choose a tribe and a Jewish son cannot change their tribe. A Jewish woman who marries a non Jew will produce a Jewish son who inherits no tribe. A Jewish woman who has a virgin birth will produce a Jewish son who inherits no tribe. A Jewish woman who has a virgin birth and a non biological Jewish father will produce a Jewish son who inherits no tribe. . It is because Jesus inherits no tribe that Jews today know that the claim that Jews 2000 years ago said Jesus was from the house of David was written by people who did not know that a son without a biological father inherits no tribe in Judaism. . Today most Christians do not know that a Jewish son from a virgin birth meaning without a biological father inherits no tribe in Judaism. . All prophecies about the messiah from David mentioned in the Jewish bible do not apply to anyone who did not have a biological father because they inherit no tribe in Judaism. . All prophecies about the messiah from David mentioned in the Jewish bible do not apply to anyone who did not descend from a biological father through the messiah king David and through the messiah king Solomon because it is a promise which God said God will not change. . Numbers 1:18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families (to trace their genealogy to a tribe), by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, each one from twenty years old and upward. Note 1. Jesus came from a virgin birth meaning Jesus had no biological father meaning Jesus was born as a Jew without tribal inheritance because he had no biological father meaning Jesus has no biological connection to King David. Note 2. In Judaism a tribe is inherited only through the biological father and not through a mother like Mary or through a non-biological adopted father like Joseph. Note 3. In Judaism a tribe cannot be chosen but is inherited through the biological father.

As an amateur magician, could you try to explain why the Rabbi refers to Psalm 110 and not to Psalm 109 where the phrase לְדָוִד מִזְמוֹר ("to David" according to Rabbi Singer) is also used in the first verse, but the Psalm refers to the Elochim?

@@davidlenett8808 Rabbi stresses from 10:03 to 10:44 that Psalm 110 cannot indicate the Lord (with capital L) since it is not from David but refers "to David". And he makes a fuss about Christian translators who deliberately distort the dedication of the Psalm "to David" in order to prove their false argument. Now, go to Psalm 109 if you wish, read it in Hebrew and apply Rabbi's negating method. Not as a scholar, but as an amateur magician... ;)

@@Lenny8bk7 Thanks for your reply. What you say concerns the masoretic Jewish text, the compilation of which begun in the 6th century CE. In the Septuagint translation of the Bible to Greek (which is about 800-900 years older) the word which was used in Psalm 110:1 was the word ΚΥΡΙΟΣ (=LORD in capital letters which the Greeks were using during that era). Which means that they used the same word which were using when translating the word "Adonai" from Jewish to Greek. Now, I see that it is possible that * The Jewish scholars and rabbis who translated the Bible to Greek (the so called Septuagint), (mis)translated the noon "אדני" and thus created confusion * The translation was right and adequate, but the people who transcribed the Septuagint later, mistranscribed the initial word in purpose in order to serve the Christian scenario. * The translation was right and adequate, the transcribers did their job honestly, but during the centuries, that same noun lost its original meaning and the "Lord" came to mean "lord, master, chef, etc.". * The Rabbis who compiled the masoretic Jewish text from - non surviving - earlier samples, changed the noun in the Psalm, in order to detach and protect their religion from any Christian influence. I don't claim to be an expert in this field and I welcome any explanation that can solve this riddle. The only thing which cannot be claimed in my opinion, is what Rabbi Tovia Singer asserts in this video from 10:03 to 10:44: That the inscription "To David" means that the psalmist is addressing to King David. As I wrote above, Psalm 109 disproves him - and I am sure that he knows it pretty well...

Nobody understands this passage wrong. The Christian Bible translates YHWH always with LORD. There is no confusion that the second Lord without capital letters is a different word meaning Master. And it also doesnt distort the meaning of what Jesus said at all.

People who talk about those who are not around, I would love to hear Saul of Tarsus who sat at the feet of Gamaliel talk with Rabbi Tovia , then he could defend himself. Why would Hashem require sacrifices then allow the temple to be destroyed where they are to be done? Then convene a meeting of rabbis to interject what Jews should do in lieu of the temple destruction, but wouldn’t Moshe need to do that, they are doing exactly what they accused Yeshu of. Then they were expelled from the Eretz Israel and we know that only happens because they have forsaken Hashem and not because of the strength of their adversary. Something is not right and the Torah affirms this. Things to ponder

Thank you. That makes absolute sense. I'd love to know if the Adonai in vs.5 refers to G-d, or David (as I understand, these vowels are sometimes / often used for G-d?). It seems a little strange if it is G-d, because in vs.1 Hashem says to David, "Sit at My R-hand", and in vs.5, Adonai is at "your" R-hand. Is that "Adonai", G-d, and the "your", David? In which case, David is at Hashem's R-hand, AND, Adonai is at David's R-hand... they'd need to be facing each other. Otherwise, this "Adonai" is David, and the singers are now talking to Hashem, saying, "David is at Your R-hand" (keeping David always at the R-hand of Hashem). Shalom

Here's your answer. In the context of the WHOLE Psalm 110; אדן means: put under command, rule over. So what's being described is that David says, "The LORD [HaShem] said to My [David] (Commander - Ruler) sit on my right hand [HaShem] until I [HaShem] put your enemies (David's [Commander - Ruler] under Your feet" (the feet of David's [Commander - Ruler]. Add to that " The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek. He shall judge among the nations. This is the Messiah, and Psalm 110 is a Messianic Prophecy, and because the Messiah sits at the Right Hand of Power, the Messiah is also Deity, and "from the womb" the Messiah is also the Son of Man.

I understand LORD is the most high Creator of everything, but who is Lord? The Psalms I have been reading was translated by Jews into English. I definitely need to keep learning Hebrew. Students of Hebrew know that the original text was written in an “unpointed” form, i.e., without the dots, dashes, and marks that are now the written vowels. Thus some people may point out that since the vowel points of the Hebrew text were added later, the rabbis could have been mistaken. It should be pointed out, however, that the two Hebrew words, adōnai and adōni, even though written the same in unpointed Hebrew, sound different when pronounced. This is not unusual in a language. “Read” and “read” are spelled the same, but one can be pronounced “red,” as in “I read the book yesterday,” while the other is pronounced “reed,” as in “Please read the book to me.” The correct way to place the vowels in the text would have been preserved in the oral tradition of the Jews. Thus when the text was finally written with the vowels it would have been written as it had always been pronounced. Further evidence that the Jews always thought that the word in Psalm 110:1 referred to a human Messiah and not God is given in the Greek text, both in the Septuagint and in quotations of the Old Testament that appear in the New Testament. It is important to remember that the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew Old Testament, was made about 250 BC, long before the Trinitarian debates started. Yet the Septuagint translation is clearly supportive of Psalm 110:1 referring to a human lord, not God. It translates adōni as ho kurios mou, “my lord.”c When Psalm 110:1 is quoted in the New Testament the same truth about the human lordship of the Messiah is preserved. Anthony Buzzard writes: The New Testament, when it quotes Psalm 110:1, renders l’adōni as “to my lord” (to kurio mou). But it renders adōnai ([Psalm 110] v. 5 and very often elsewhere) as “the Lord” (kurios). This proves that the difference between adōnai and adōni was recognized and reported in Greek long before the Masoretic vowel points fixed the ancient, oral tradition permanently in writing.d Sadly, many scholars have not paid close attention to the Hebrew text of Psalm 110:1, and incorrectly say that the second “Lord” in the verse is the Hebrew word adōnai (or adōnay) and thus means “God,” not recognizing that adōnai is not the actual Hebrew word in the verse. One such source is The Bible Knowledge Commentary edited by Walvoord and Zuck, Victor Books, 1985, p. 873. Another is Herbert Lockyer, All the Divine Names and Titles in the Bible, Zondervan, 1975, p. 15. A third is Alfred Plummer, Gospel According to S. Luke [ICC]; Edinburgh; T&T Clark, 1913, p. 472. The well-known Smith’s Bible Dictionary contains an article on “Son of God,” written by Ezra Abbot. He writes: Accordingly we find that, after the Ascension, the Apostles labored to bring the Jews to acknowledge that Jesus was not only the Christ, but was also a Divine Person, even the Lord Jehovah.e We believe Abbot’s conclusion is faulty because he did not pay attention to the exact wording of the Hebrew text. Even scholars who contributed to Smith’s Dictionary of the Bible apparently agree, because there is a footnote after the above quotation that corrects it. The footnote states: In ascribing to St. Peter the remarkable proposition that “God has made Jesus Jehovah,” the writer of this article appears to have overlooked the fact that kurion (“Lord”) refers to to kurio mou (“my Lord”) in verse 34, quoted from Psalm 110:1, where the Hebrew correspondent is not Jehovah but adōn, the common word for “lord.” The footnote is quite correct, for the word in Psalm 110 is the word for a “lord” or “master” and not God. Thus Psalm 110:1 gives us very clear evidence that the expected Messiah of God was not going to be God himself, but a created being. The Jews listening to Peter on the Day of Pentecost would clearly see the correlation in Peter’s teaching that Jesus was a “man approved of God” (v. 22 - KJV), the “my lord” of Psalm 110:1 which Peter quoted just shortly thereafter (v. 34). The use of adōni in the first verse of Psalm 110:1 makes it very clear that the Jews were not expecting their Messiah to be God, but were expecting a human “lord.” The misinformation given about the Hebrew text of Psalm 110:1 in these respected and generally very helpful resource tools is very unfortunate, because it propounds the teaching that Jesus is God, which is actually exactly the opposite of what the Psalm itself is saying. There is a reason that in the Psalm David writes that God is “Yahweh” while the Messiah is his “lord.” One of the clearest proofs that there is no Trinity is that neither Jesus nor the apostles ever taught it. Psalm 110:1 is just one of many verses that were reasons the Jews were expecting a human Messiah. The ancient Jews had a lot of expectations about their Messiah that were based on Scripture. The Jews worshiped one God (Deut. 6:4), and never considered there to be a Trinity. Similarly, the Messiah the Jews were expecting was to be a real human, not a God-man. He was to be a descendant of Eve (Gen. 3:15), a descendant of Abraham (Gen. 22:18), from the tribe of Judah (Gen. 49:10); and a descendant of David (2 Sam. 7:12, 13; Isa. 11:1). He was to be a “lord” under Yahweh (Ps. 110:1) and a servant of Yahweh (Isa. 42:1-7), but he was to be able to draw near to Yahweh (Jer. 30:21). He was to be a Jew, “one of their own” (Jer. 30:21), and he was to be born in Bethlehem (Mic. 5:2). Since the Jews were expecting a human Messiah and did not think of “the Holy Spirit” as a “Person,” if the doctrine of the Trinity was true and was to be believed, someone, ostensibly the Messiah himself, had to teach it. But he never did. While there are a few verses where Jesus said things that modern Trinitarians say mean he was God, each of those can also be interpreted from the perspective that Jesus was not God, and many biblical Unitarian scholars have demonstrated that in their writings. Meanwhile, the vast preponderance of New Testament verses are Jesus or the New Testament authors showing that Jesus was sent by God and did God’s will, not his own. Jesus quoted the Shema (Deut. 6:4), that there was only one God, to Jews who would have taken what he said at face value. Jesus did not take the opportunity-ever!-to teach what modern Trinitarians say is the foundation of the Christian Faith: that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God; and together the three Persons make One God. Why not? The most logical explanation is that there is no Trinity [For more information see, One God & One Lord: Reconsidering the Cornerstone of the Christian Faith, by Graeser, Lynn, and Schoenheit.] Psalm 110 is a Messianic and prophetic psalm in which God gave David a vision of the future, when God and the Messiah speak about what the Messiah will accomplish. The fact that David does not call both God and the Messiah his “Lord,” but carefully words what he says such that Yahweh maintains His elevated position while the Messiah, God’s “right-hand man,” is seen as David’s “lord.” If God and Christ were both God and were co-equal and co-eternal, as the Trinity states, then Psalm 110:1 fails to recognize that equality, or even that Yahweh and the Messiah are both God. Quite the opposite! The Messiah, David’s adōni, is seen to be distinct from, and lesser than, Yahweh. “Yahweh.” “Yahweh” is the personal name of God, and a rabbinic abbreviation for it appears in the Hebrew manuscript of Matthew as well as in the verses of the Old Testament that Matthew quoted. There is evidence that Matthew wrote his Gospel in Hebrew and used the name Yahweh, so we have put it in the REV (see commentary on Matt. 3:3).

How He can hear our prayers (being omnipresent) we pray to our Father, and do our request. When the Father is the head of Yeshua, are they not one God, even the Father is greater. If God is only one (single), why is there a single God (EL or Eloha) and a plural God (Elohim)? What grammar is that? Why says the NT, angels have to worship Him, a little lord? Why did the Sanhedrin condemn Yeshua, because He said, He is the Son of God, the Messiah. How did they know, that makes Him equal with His Father. If they knew and the Sages, why has Judaism changed?

A closer look, especially at the Old Testament, unveils that delving into the intricacies of the Hebrew language is pivotal for a profound comprehension of their faith. King David is believed to have lived in the early part of the tenth century BCE, when the Hebrew language was beginning to emerge from a dialect of the Canaanite language. Had he written anything, it would have been in a form of proto-Hebrew, quite different from the Hebrew we know in the Bible.

Is there some captivation of the will? Very deep lessons. What the Christ Jesus needs to claim, and perhaps a truth as well. Cheers.

Kinda like being given a recipe from God telling us how to create a world filled with charity, justice and love, and working alone and together to understand what was given and living to make that happen. We as Christians don’t have the right to pick and choose who we want or don’t want to preach to. The gospel must be preached to all people and all nations, even to Israel. If many Jews rejected Christ while He was on earth, many have, will, and are rejecting Him from His resurrection to His second coming. It only takes ears to hear the gospel regardless of who they are and what their backgrounds are, everyone will be held accountable with what they’ve heard. Jesus Christ will be preached, and the most loving thing we can do is to proclaim the gospel and warn of the wrath to come of rejecting Christ’s invitation. It’s a choice and God will not force anyone to choose Him, and it’s not too late.

It is David, writing to himself, imagine you are named John, and you create a diary if you will, and you write stuff that happens and than you title it for example " A diary on John " Though you are the author, writing. Lets not play games. There is millions of explanations, Its also very likely that the scribes, Levi's could have composed this on his behalf and thats why they wrote " A pslam, to david " .

john 17:3 is very clear. Also most translations translate all Yahweh names to Lord making things more confusing to us all. John also talks about this. About taking the mark of the beast. For me the second beast is doing this to confuse Gods people. The first beast being false teachers, false prophets giving power to the first beast, the people in charge in high places and by high places I don’t mean something flying in the sky lol also from my understanding by going deep in the New Testament Bible there is no demons, no devil, no satan. But the translation makes it loook like it which I can apply the first beast and the second beast here because Romans were full of this things and believes as well. Ahh is so much. But I encourage people who want to find the true God to at least read the interlinears and read the Old Testament and not just forget about it.

H113 אָדוֹן is the word used by David for "my Lord" and same H113 אָדוֹן is used to address God in this case: “Three  times   in the year   all   thy males shall appear   before  the Lord H113 אָדוֹן GOD. " If Jesus was wrong we should see the reaction of the teachers. That happened "while all the pharisees were gather together" Mat 22:41. No reaction from them. except: "no man was able to answer". Or they didn't have the right translation. Or or didn't know how to read! I wish you were there to see how you save the day!

You didn't finish the quotation. "If David says, 'The LORD says unto my Master, (as you say), sit at my feet etc etc'. How can he (his Master) be his (David's) son? Very convenient. You neatly slip out of the question. In essence, David is saying. that his Master will be his son. But you fail to explain this part.

The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings.

@@Ynw12538the question is not if tanahk is a history book. In fact if you read the commentary from the very orthodox artscroll chumash it clearly states that it is not. This is where judiasm differs greatly from Islam and fundamentalist Christianity. Most folks who mock judiasm from an atheistic viewpoint only understand religion from the viewpoint of Christianity and Islam. The fascinating aspect that you may be missing is that in judiasm, Torah (teaching) was given TO Jews at Siani and the religion/practice of judiasm is a very human effort to progress not only as a person but as a group from the understanding and practice of the Bronze Age into creating a heaven on earth by improving and repairing our world and overcoming our base instincts and replacing them with charity, justice and love.
