in case anyone is interested, the type of dance she does is called Ecstatic Dancing - it's where you let the beat consume you and you go into trance-like state where you connect and let the music move you, it's my favorite style of dancing - you just let your body do whatever your body feels without worry of judgement, whether it's by yourself in a dark room or out around folks at a festival or such, it's an extremely freeing and liberating way to dance and feel ❤️ definitely worth a try if you haven't yet (sometimes you may have already done this type of dancing without even realizing it - it's a very ancient form of dance that is already ingrained within us that rhythm can bring out and we just feel pure bliss), it may seem super strange at first, but if you close your eyes and really let yourself go and just focus and sway with the beats and put your all out into it, you can feel that trance like state with just music, no drugs, etc. just pure euphoria. and once youve felt that feeling, it's very easy to bring that feeling back whenever you need it to ground yourself when life gets too chaotic - it's a great therapeutic method as well due to that 🎶 hope y'all are staying safe and healthy during these crazy times ❤️

1. Lorde's voice is extremely beautiful with rich deep tones, great passion and power, shes coherent, and on key, on spot. I love her voice. 2. Her dances are creative and passionate, love them. 3. Shes a mysterious sultry beauty, she is atypica, which is a great thing; she has great distinct features. 4. Shes fashionable, love her clothes and style. 5. Love the red light, I love this song, there is a spot light at the end, I would have loved if it was a green light, yet I understand if she is saying she wants it, and it never comes, sadly. Lorde, you are brilliant!!!

I can see some people making fun for the way she dances, but honestly it's quite amazing to see someone so invested in their music that they begin to dance and sway to the beat because they can almost feel the music in them, that they are so passionate about it and show so much emotion in their performance, and actually to an extent I think it's quite beautiful.

Why do some people want the same product all the time, everything perfectly streamlined before consumption? I think Lorde is unique (... and not even THAT greatly different from other artists of her generation), unique enough to make detractors feel defensive & snarky towards her self expression. You think so? the mixing sounds terrible to me. Live studio mixing tends to feel very distant and muted to me. The drums have no punch, it's very "voice forward" which...is fine, I like to hear Lorde sing obviously. But the instrumentation is so sterile in this mix.

Not my genre...but I can’t help but love what she does. That girl is a complete rockstar. What a performer, she is an old soul. That, right there, is charisma...the stage presence and the vocals, this is what IT looks like. Lorde has IT. For anyone critical of her dancing, I would have to suggest that you don’t understand true expression. This is dancing and stage presence in their most natural and authentic forms and this is rare.

when this song first came out I was a bit disappointed. I thought it was a pop song that an artist like Katy Perry would sing and I expected more from Lorde especially that this is her comeback song. Then I read the lyrics and realized that she's at an age where she's experiencing heartache. She's stuck and in love with the person that hurt her and she's torn between moving on or staying. She wants the green light so she can move forward but in this performance, all she got was red light. So she's begging for the light to be green and be happy.

I mean she didn't write any of this stuff or compose any of the music and the studio album is super auto tuned. She has a huge team behind her just like Taylor Swift. If you want to hear genuine heartache might I suggest Nirvana or Hank Williams . This is just powder puff pop music meant to move units and appeal to the lowest common denominator but then again you might be the lowest common denominator.
