In today's video I share with you some tips on what to do when your bearded dragon has stuck shed. Sometimes bearded dragons can go through phases where they will have stuck shed and need assisting when this happen you always want to make sure you take the right steps to help. So in this video I give some tips that can help you out.

Great video. I was surprised you didn't explain banding. The brush looks like it is either from an electric razor or to clean out a sewing machine. I'm glad miracle is still living her miraculous life.💖🐉

That’s all you need to do. Put them in a warm bath and use a fine brush (toothbrush will do). Mine loves when I “help” him shed...he calms down in the bath once I start slowly massaging the area with the toothbrush. He calms down immediately and allows the process to continue. Once out of the bath...he’s running around like a crazed lunatic to have that old, dead skin off..lol

I know where you got that brush! It's part of the cleaning tools provided with an electric shaving kit . I have several that I've kept for whatever detailed cleaning needs may arise. Sadly, my disabled dragon's "thumb" has several layers and I'm not thinking that anything but careful tweezing is going to fit the job ahead of me.

Do the babies always do a full body shed? Mine hasn't shed his back at all and I don't know if it is stuck shed on there or if he just hasn't shed it.

Hey, question. My juvenile beardie has no issue shedding his body , but when it’s gets to his legs I’m finding that his shed is sticking and to the point I’m having to remove it myself. Any idea what I can do to stop this from happening ?

Hi, thanks for the video. Our beardie is about 2 months old. Have owned him for about 3 weeks and he shedded his entire back. He has not had anything to eat for about 1 week now. Is this normal during a shed? We noticed his tail and hind legs are shedding too. He looks thinner and is lethargic and not wanting bask. Is this normal?

You got that brush from a nail clipping kit, and I have that kit. I also have a baby bearded dragon who is in shed, so if her shed gets stuck I will be using it.

I just bought a baby breaded dragon like a few days ago and he hasn't eaten to much hes in a 15 gallon tank he has uv light and a basking light. I'm just not sure if he is getting enough heat. Should it take him a while before he's eating normally since its a new environment?

Hey! Any updates on Miracle? One year update. I just got my first baby beardie about two to three months ago. I’m not sure if it’s a boy or a girl yet… but right now his name is Ricky. If it turns out to be a girl, I’m going to name her Penelope.

Lord Elion the tip of my bearded dragons tail got cut off and I don’t know how and it won’t stop bleeding what can I put on his tail to help the bleeding stop and the wound to heal properly he didn’t lose a lot of he’s tail maybe the size of a small cricket

It could be an infection but without seeing it it’s hard to tell, always consult with a vet if you feel it’s needed ! Send me pictures to my Instagram and I might be able to tell you more what it is

I don’t know if you know anything about chameleons but she has stuck shed for a couple weeks now and her right eye has been shut here lately so I been spraying her down more in that eye, she has this thick clear substance. She opened last night, but won’t keep it open. Help me please

Lydia Mockbee I know a little about chameleons first off if her shed is stuck it won’t hurt to peel a little of and also give her like a 2 minute bath and About her eye she might be protecting her eye from something in the way like a branch or some leaves that’s all I know btw I hope your chameleon gets better!

They dont get hydrated through skin thats a myth. They get it from drinking water from bowl or with a dropper and the bugs/veggies they eat

I dont really recommend dog or cat food try your hardest to get extremely small crickets and bobbing their head is a sign of aggression or dominance

You must not be feeding her/him enough

Check temps, make sure you have proper UVB, that is so, so important. Make sure they are getting calcium dusted bugs and on a good feeding schedule and they are hydrated. If that is all correct, get a fecal done by the vet for parasites.

A baby should have a basking spot from 105-110. Also, no lights at night. They need the cool down period for immunity. They should have lights from 12 on to 12 off. Make sure they have 2 hours to bask with lights after they eat to properly digest.
