Hey bro , nice content ! For blast formation i've got a few tips for you :) Inf blast you should go inf phal . If you put your inf in the back you lose a huge amount of damage dealt since it takes them around 12-13 seconds to get in the fight .. A third of the entire fight Cav blast you go ranged phal but if the target is in ranged front with a little range left you should go inf wedge this way ou will start hitting another squad type faster Ranged blast always in cav wedge unless they are in inf phal . Versus inf phal you should go inf phal , do more damage and you take less By the way , in your ranged gear i see some gold jewels while 3 items doest have de base att jewels in (chest,codex,coronet) . A gold one gives 20% but if you replace 1 gold for 4 purple it'll give 48%

Great tips! Concerning my attack jewels they all are in my mixed set at the moment. Once my mixed set is full gold, I will start to work on my blast sets.

IF I may correct you a bit, for cav blast if there is ranged front, then either continue with rang phal if there is very little range or go with ranged wedge, because you will need to kill less troops to hit cav/inf. For ranged blast, you should go in caw wedge for the most part I agree with you on that one, but if there is inf front, theny dont go ranged or go inf wedge, since you need to kill less troops to hit cav.

Yesterday i wanted to check where i stand, so I runned and amazingly won my first DN5. I'm at 230m might, still haven't unlocked T4 and for blasts I have over 500% on inf which is my best troop type atm. Felt nice to win despite the difficulties.

That for the great content, my guild is really small and we're mostly below lvl 20 castles. We have to stick to lvl 1 darknest for now because hard as hell to coordinate times for rallies, only 3 of us figured out to scout and send appropriate troops. Just for fun,what level dark essence does a lvl 4-5 give and how long to transmute?

Lv 4 dn give 10-15 ess. 15 ess is only on some of the anti-scout dn. Lv 5 dn give 15-25 ess, again 25 only in anti dn

Usually when attacking blasts, I send 500 of the other 2 to put in front to die asap. That draws away 2 attacks and gives you a slight bonus. But not if it's a DN with range+cav .. there's a slight risk that you destroy the wall in 1 hit so your 1 grunt stays alive before the wall falls and the enemy cav doesn't rush out.

@@langer6969 from testing in Trial By Fire, it seems like ~100 and ~300 where 300 is the type of the 5th hero. But for range blast, I set to 1 inf cuz I want to make sure it dies before the wall falls.

@@williamxyz4302 IF you have only ranged and cavalry troops in darknest or something, then if you dont send inf or cav troops, wall will fall down automatically without you needing to destroy it :)

@@langer6969 I think, that unless buffers can withstand one hit without dying, then you can just send 4 of 2 other troops. Because what would be the point of sending like 2K x 2 so 4K troops if they do the same thing that 4x2 so 8 troops. The only situation where I would think sending more would be rally on a player, because they may send him garrison, and that can screwed you up pretty badly, especially when going range. And I suggest to send lower troop type, firstly your march will not be slowed down by infantry, and secondly if you are attacking then if you send more buffers like 1/2/5k etc. then you will lose a lot of t4 for no reason, if you are p2p then sure, if you are f2p its different story.

Hey bro, great tips, but I have one question. When talking about blasts, you said you would pick 5 infantry heroes as they give the best stats for that blast. But doesn't 1 hero always stays inactive if you send 5 of the same troop type? I used to do that until I noticed the 5th hero was nowhere to be seen in battle. Does the 5th hero bonus still apply in that case?

The stats get applied, but the squad attack (200%) doesn't trigger since you can only trigger 4 squads. If your 5th hero is a different type of troops (I.E. you're sending 4 Ranged hero + Rose Knight), Rose Knight will provide the stats boost (20% army attack on all troops and 50% HP Cav on the cav buffer troops) and will also trigger Squad Attacks of 200% until all cav troops are dead (usually within 1-2 second of the start of the battle). The squad attack from the buffer will be very low (if you are sending 100 troop cav buffer, the squad attack will be equal to 25 troops attacking X 200%) Since the squad attack is so small from the 5th hero (if it's from a different type than your blast troops) , you are better off sending a hero that provides better combat stats (in my case and this is only for INF, 30% inf attack is better than 20% army attack). 5 Def , 2.5 hp, 1 atk is same . I analyse it as 2% atk from manor, 10% def from brk, 5% hp from inf If we see in terms of attack then d knight has 30% atk, black crow has 25% attack

I understand your thinking, but I don't think because the buildings provide these boosts that it gives an accurate stats ratio in actual combat. I'd love for someone to test this out ;) Crystal Briefs did a pretty interesting analysis on Att vs HP - it's a lot closer than a 2.5X ratio

Awesome vid, Explains it really well… Something I do with a 2 type range/Cav nest which seems to work is I set in a Cav Wedge with 2 T2 Inf and rest range… It seems to default the nest into Inf Phal which means the Cav run out first and your Range now them down… If you haven’t opened Wedges then a Range Phal with only range troops works the same… For 2 type nests with Inf/Range I usually go Inf Phal but still send 4 of each Buffer, I saw it once with Duck or Aeva I think where you do this because Inf are so slow so putting them at the back keeps them out the fight to long, seems to work with DN 5’s and lower… For mixed nests or DN 6’s I use wedges more, I match the wedge with my main troop type so they on the sides so for Cav blast I use Range Wedge, for Range Blast I go Inf Wedge & Inf Blast I go Cav Wedge, Again this is only for DN6’s… One thing I have learnt with the Ess 26/DN6 is you need decent stats or a very high T5 troop comp… Personally I think for DN5’s you should have at least 450% stats or higher in your blast or find a 1 troop type nest, For DN6’s I would say 700% blasts or higher… Again the higher your T5 the easier it becomes and if you counter the front line it helps a lot… There are also unique cases where you send a sort of “mix” comp at a nest if they have a small front line but getting the numbers right can be a challenge if you don’t have good stats… I have won a nest sending 100k Range to clear the Cav front line with the rest of the troops Inf to take out the Range… But again it’s unique situations 😊 Sorry for the essay, I have sent your link to my guild so peeps can see why we run Darknests how we do as your explanation is really awesome…

You don’t need stats that high to win vs dn5-6 😉. I won my first dn 6 with mid 500% blast and could probably have won with lower stats

@@langer6969 fair enough lol I just use that as a guide specially if you have low T5 count but I suppose if you get the counter lower stats will work out… If you don’t get the counter obviously the better your stats the better your chance…

Only once, I'm not a big fan of mixed DN's and my blasts have taken a hit since I rejeweled to mixed - Maybe I'll give it another go soon. I haven't spied a lvl 6 in months ;)

True, I worded that a bit badly... What I meant is when sending against a mixed dark nest when you don't know what is the frontline, look for the troop type in the nest that has the lowest amount of troops and send a blast that gets countered. From the example in the video, the reasoning goes like that : Your Inf blast has 3 scenarios : 1- The frontline is Inf, it's a tough battle, but you have a chance of a close win because only a small of cav are countering you 2- The frontline is Ranged, it's an easy win 3 - The front is cav, it's probably a loss, because after you are done killing the cav, you will have to go through the inf If you are sending a cav blast: 1 - The frontline is inf, you will chew through the frontline, but the ranged units are going to pummel you, not a guaranteed win 2 - The frontline is ranged, it's a guaranteed loss 3 - The frontline is cav, by the time you kill the cav to get to the inf, the ranged units will do significant damage to your cav, probably a loss I'm not saying you can't win with the wrong strategy, I'm saying that on average you will have a higher win rate ;)

@@desistaaagg I'm not surprised TBH, with Artifact boosts nowadays most players should have 40% boost to HP (normal + leadership + fury) as well as non normal Attack +20% (leadership + battle fury) Base Attack stats are a very imperfect way to estimate the strength of an account

DNs have a wide range of power. I've seen a DN6 with as low as 110M might. At this strength with the right comp, our guys who normally max out at ess23/24 can actually beat it with a high % of T5 fillers.
