My money is that the third arm is Adyrs. If I remember correctly he tried to use the progeny as a vessel to manifest himself but he wasn’t strong enough to contain him and instead it became this.

Why do I have a feeling this giant is possessed by another monster which could potentially be a giant demon that has made a symbiotic relationship with this giant too bad there’s no lore to this boss or any others otherwise, we could’ve known more

The lore is explained in its remembrance, the tortured prisoner quest line and the scouring in the boss arena. The Lorebrarians channel actually goes over it’s story in his video on the Royal Family of Mournstead as well if you want to look at that.

Its probably an Umbral entity that was implanted into this vessal, but the implanted entity was rejected, resulting in a partial fusion of the 2 creatures.

⁠@@PaulAtreideeshe is. The progeny was the child of King Bramis and queen Sophesia (tortured prisoner). He got turned into the progeny after Sophesia did a ritual in Calrath that corrupted the beacons and in the aftermath the Rhogar energies unleashed converged on Edevar (progeny’s name) I believe Adur attempted to make him his vessel to enter mournstead but he was too weak to contain him and became this. So that third arm might be that of Adyr himself.

The only monster in a souls like that freaked me out. Mainly because of that third hand coming out of his mouth. It’s Unsettling and I think he may have more hands then 3 if the cutscene is anything to go by.

Ok. I get that this dude is basically Old Iron King in his second phase, I get it takes an hour for him to move from platform to platform… But I cannot help but love this guy. Memorable, uncanny design and cutscene. Melancholy yet ominous soundtrack. That face. That DISEASE of a face. My fav boss in terms of design-fav boss overall goes to the Hushed Saint

Wtf how is it I ALWAYS get boss mechanics that never show up in boss guides? Every guide starts off attacking his small foot and none of them show this boss doing the hand out of the mouth attack where flame streams out of the ground where you’re standing. That attack only shows when they’re on the catwalk… so what gives? This bs happens way more than I care to admit. (where a boss does a mechanic in my game; but not in the boss guides)

When the lava starts to spread on the ground you're supposed to run up the stairs to the second level

@@JohnDoe-ligma thanks! Yeah, I was meaning the attack where the circle of magma appears where you’re standing. I believe 3 attacks end up coming out at you. So you have to run or dodge as soon as they appear. And it will leave the lava in that one spot where you were standing. I think after you beat this boss you can get it as a spell from his remembrance.

@@aiRxShop yeah. The way I avoided that was just running to the next platform and pelting him with holy attacks. It melts this boss

@@JohnDoe-ligma lol yeah that’s what I ended up doing. I decided to play extra safe and just ran to the farthest platforms and never stopping at the middle platform. Waiting for him to do that attack and then I would stop and attack.

Why must this games enemy design look great and function worse than a rusty fucking box cutter? Worst fight in the game from where I’m at right now. All of the bosses are so terribly designed mechanically. The aesthetics are on point but jesus christ the devs don’t give a fuck about player balance

It's a gimmick boss like Rykard or ancient wyvern. You need to use the platform to cover in the 2nd phase, try to bring crossbow with radiance bolt or some ranged items (ex: hatchet/throwing knives). He got pretty long vulnerable window after he cast his ultimate attack.
