I'm thinking that the Alex that was cured was a fake. Perhaps a ploy by Herobrine. Make a fake Alex, keeping the real one captive or as an ally, and the false Alex was cured instead of the real one.

Isn't giant steve in-game just a rip off giant alex. Fun fact in the game, if you turn on hitboxes in a specific seed (i dunno which one search it) you will eventually see a giant hitbox. That is giant steve. He has to be in your render distance btw

A Possible theory to Giant Alex's appearance is, probably a hint from the youtuber, that both of our heroes' fate is that, it is possible Herobrine turned them both into monsters, with that being their fate (big shoutout to Flighticity for giving the theory)
