as a swede, my only guess to why this did not qualify to the finals was because... it was just too good and too brilliantly setup in terms of complexity for Melodifestivalen. i talked to a few people who were not a fan of the song and it seems like people couldnt take something out of their comfort zone. personally i adore this song and i definitely think it wouldve won easily if it was supported all the way tldr; this song was too good for Sweden to deal with

Loreen did an amazing job, regardless of the results, she made a fantastic song and an unforgettable performance. The song was too dark for the Swedes, but this could have done well in ESC. Hopefully, she gets to release her new record out soon. Promote it and head back to the studio and maybe try to compete again next year, if she wants to. One thing about Loreen is that she is a warrior, she proved everyone wrong when she gave it a second try and brought Euphoria to Europe. All in all, she brought a message to everyone who got to listen and watch her performance. Great job Loreen, we can't wait to hear your new music. You are an outstanding artist!
