Cool interview. And man, i didn't watched Lorenzo Lamas movies in a years. I forgot what was the last movie with him that i watched. It was back in the days when i didn't have PC or internet, or none of that stuff. I was just a kid, coming back home from school, playing tons of video games on NES, and later Sega Mega Drive, and watching tons of interesting TV shows, movies and cartoons. We even had a old TV with lamps in it, that had black and white picture, but thanks to my brother, it later became colorful because, my older brother can fix stuff and improve stuff. And so yeah, i even forgot what was the last movie with Lorenzo Lamas that i saw. And about the renegade movie. There was a video game back in arcade times called Target Renegade, where you are playing as this dude, running around places and beating up bad guys. And that game was an adaptation of Japanese video game called Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun for every other country. And so, in Target Renegade you were playing as this biker dude, running around and beating up bad guys, but in original Japanese game, you were playing as a kid from one of the schools named Kunio, who's best friend got beaten up by some bullies, and because Kunio was this bada$$ martial artist, he decide to go and beat them all up, just to avenge his friend. I know that both the video game and the movie has nothing to do between each other, but i'm just saying.

@@VikingSamurai Oh shucks! lol……As for Wesley, I didn't have to tell him, because he already knew, and knew I was in the area. With me being the chief instructor in Michigan at the time, his people called me on the phone to come down, and audition, and give a demo for Wesley and his bodygaurds! That's how I got on that film with him. I think it was Peter Malota from (Double Impact and The Quest) that told him, and gave out my number. He was associated with that film as well. After that, Wesley started studying Systema from Martin in LA.

Looking forward to part 2! I wasn't a Lamas fan until that show. Cuz before all I knew about him was Grease and soap opera roles. and he had short hair back then made him look a bit wimpy. haha. But then I remember seeing the tv trailer for renegade and was shocked thinking "omg.. that's LL? he's changed." After tuning in I immediately loved the show and changed my opinion on him. Started to go through his action movie discography. I always thought his kicks were pretty precise. Kinda how I feel with Van Dammes. He seems to have good balance.

Back in the mid-90s (I cannot recall precisely what year) here in Southern California, on ABC 7, for one summer, ABC 7 would air straight-to-video martial arts flicks on their network((Sunday nights). It would come on around 11:30 (after the news). One of the films they aired was Final Impact. I loved that film as a kid. It was a gritty martial arts movie that took place in Vegas, and it had a cool story to it. But yeah, I do not know why ABC aired those movies, but I am glad they did. Since it was summertime, my parents did not mind I stayed up and watched some television.

Great interview w/Lorenzo Lamas. His show Renegade was a decent background noise tv show. I wasn't a big Lorenzo Lamas fan, but his show was decent enough to watch on a Friday night coming back from the club w/a hunny, you turn on the TV in the room in order to subside the noises of passion that we were about to make, and once done, just kick back and watch some of the show, while smoking a cigarette (heck, the 90s was a great time lol). Nevertheless, it would've been great to see Lorenzo Lamas able to work maybe with Van Damme in a film, just to see who would've kicked more ass. Who knows. Anyway, looking forward to part 2. Rick

"Renegade" was a fun show, I wish it had gotten a proper ending. He was in another series(one season) after "Renegade", called "The Immortal," a fun/cheesy show where he fought demons.

@@VikingSamurai Hahaha! Actually Sly teased Cobra series when doing Last Blood press run few years back in a interview, apparently Robert Rodriguez was interested in doing it, no update since unfortunately :( I would be ecstatic!

RENEGADE!! Great interview, you're really honing your craft, excellent flow. That's too bad about Loren Avedon, I don't understand why he sued Lorenzo if he hooked him up with a good plastic surgeon & footed the bill. I hope they connect again & mend that fence.

I highly recommend the movie Take Down(1979). It’s an underrated high school wrestling movie and I think it’s Lorenzo’s best dramatic performance
