I've read her books. I've watched her movie. I've listened to her interviews. I've listened to her music. It was a tough love, but what a story they have bringing themselves and family out of what could have been a lifetime of poverty. They both worked hard and sacrificed. She loved her Doo 'cause he always thought she was something special and pushed her into her full potential. They always found their way back to each other. Without Doo there would've never been our Loretta Lynn: Queen Of Country Music.
Tribute Video - In Memory of Loretta and Oliver "Mooney" Lynn (aka her Doo or Doolittle) and their family/48 years of marriage. • Now they are both hearing the music together again! She made it 26 years after he passed away, but I know she longed for the day she'd be reunited with her Doo! She had written about how Doo had made peace with God, while he was at the toughest part of his sickness, in her "Still Woman Enough" book (2002). Also, a day before Loretta passed away her twin daughter posted on her personal facebook page, about her mama telling them Doo had come to her and said he was coming to get her and take her home. 😭🥰
Songs featured in this video:
"Love is the Foundation" (One of Doo's favorite songs Loretta would sing for him. She sings it to him in this video.❤️)
"I Can't Hear The Music" (Loretta co-wrote this song for Doo after he passed away, because when he was passing he was losing his hearing and told her "I can't hear the music anymore"!? 😭 The studio version and the live version.)
Spoken word - Loretta's last recorded message for her fans played at her CMT memorial show.
